You could never imagine music without him he is so unique musical as a person he is so highly intelligent yet so earthy a wonderful ambassador not just for music but also new york
That hair though. And a Denman brush and blow dryer. I remember when I pre-maturely matured and cut that hair off. So nice to get up a 1/2 hour later every morning.
I saw this show! Storm front in Vancouver in 1990, with my Dad. Billy told the audience he had done some fishing that day, and there was a big signaling of course for Piano Man.
I remember when everybody went nuts when We didn’t start the fire came out! It seems like everyone I knew got the Storm Front album for Christmas in 1989 or 90 whenever it was!
I got that album when it came out, and the songs that I REALLY fell in love with were Storm Front, Leningrad, And So It Goes, and Shameless. Still my favorites off that album.
Great interview, thanks for sharing. About a year later Sty Jeffries interviewed Billy for Good Rockin' Tonite and asked it he was "ticked" as well. Seems like a similar script.
Greatest singer/songwriter ever!

This guy's a God of modern music, and people are worried about the length of his sleeves or how he buttons his shirt. Crazy! Really love you Billy.
Even when he's not singing, he's a good storyteller
He has a great voice. Nobody, like nobody, sounds more like the very essence of NYC native
Aww, he’s so adorable! 😍
Have your brain and eyes checked
Such a cutie 🥰🥰
“Sting bought my apartment.” Not many people can truthfully utter that statement.
What a handsome guy
If he looked like that and wasn't famous, would it still apply?
@@ThisWholeWorld100 yep

Caught a big salmon if I recall. T
I know, yet it says 2013 .. where he looks 20 years younger than the 2010 interview !
IT'S JUST AMAZING HOW MUCH HAS SUBLIMATED FROM HIM- INCREDIBLE BODY OF WORK
LINDO BILLY JOEL SOU SUA FÃ

Billy would have to think that those people are pretty shallow and have terrible taste in what is a good song.

@@MollyT119 My favorite off the album is “I go to extremes”!
i wonder if he ever went back to Vancouver with Christie. I like that Billy. has not left the New York home base.
Mick Jones from Foreigner! English producer musician!
Mulligan had a radio show on CBC called 90 minutes with a bullet back in the 70,s miss those kinds of programs on radio
“They send scripts to me, I don’t know why”
They must’ve had him mistaken for Sylvester Stallone
are you nuts?
Or Al Pacino.
Man imagine what Storm Front would have been like with Mutt producing it! Would have been completely different but I bet it would have been wicked
Richard marx also appeared on this album! Liberty Devitto on drums!

Anyone know what year this was
1989, Storm Front was the upcoming album they're talking about
what year was this done?
1989, during the recording of Storm Front.
What year did this actually happen?
I wanna say somewhere around 1986ish...I remember the songs in the interview
is this for The Bridge? or Storm Front?
Don Harrison it has to be Storm Front, based on the comments that he makes in the interview.
Yall are probs married and have kids by now, but its for Storm Front in 1989
I think I know the hotel by the curtains. Sutton Place or Four Seasons.
