Hi! Welcome to your new hobby! It's lots of fun! A couple of tips for your issues would be- to make sure your pieces aren't too thin. I like to make mine around 3mm. Press them down onto the baking tray/baking paper before curing to help them stay flat. For sanding I use a soft buffing attachment on my drill to run around the edges to smooth them off. I'll be doing another FAQ tutorial soon which will cover these topics a bit better :) hope it helps! Good luck and have fun creating!
I think it would! I might have to have a play and see if it is much different. I have also tried it with gloss glaze and alcohol ink- but the liquid clay definitely worked better than that.
Thank you Nicole! Those are really pretty.
Thanks so much! I’m a little addicted now. So many more projects in mind for this technique!
"Gluginess down at the bottom" thanks for the smile. Great video.
It’s the best way to describe it! 😜

Thanks for sharing. When did you put in the holes in the pieces?
I put the holes in after curing. I use a Dremel Hand drill.
Great tutorial! Do you think Sculpey oven bake adhesive would work on this project?
I think it would! I might have to have a play and see if it is much different. I have also tried it with gloss glaze and alcohol ink- but the liquid clay definitely worked better than that.
Can i use regular liquid sculpey? That come in colors? I have a ton
Yes you can! I'm actually working on a liquid clay tutorial at the moment!
Beautiful! I love this technique so much and thank you for sharing!❤ So did you drill holes afterwards rather than prior to baking?
Yes! I drill after baking. I find the hole is neater. :)
