I was able to get a 2018 1oz reverse proof Libertad. It was somewhat of an impulse because of the huge premium but I couldn't pass it up.
Same... crazy premium
The 2020 gold proof Libertad one of the world's great coins
Stunning and pricey little buggers aren't they. I have to say one of my favorite designs for a semi numismatic. Wonderful views today my friend thank you
Just bought my first 1oz gold BU libertad the other day…. Just waiting to have it in my hand… it’s a 2023 to go along with my 3 1 oz silver libertads and my 2 oz silver libertad! Very excited to see this thing! 😁
A very Awesome collection. I just got my first 1/10th gold proof! Thanks for sharing!
I love them , one of my all time favourites
Beautiful Libertades!
Those are beautiful coins. One day...lol Thanks for posting 😁
Gold Libertad, #1
I totally agree with you. Libertads are a great value. Semper Fi. Dave
I've got a single 2 ounce silver libertad, the extra large size makes it extra awesome.
Numi... As I watched this video this morning I took out my one 2015 Silver BU Libertad to look at it again. I had noticed that there is a wide variance in cost of these coins so I only bought one to see what it is like. The design is beautiful, yet I did not find it as appealing as I thought it would be as this coin has only one soft frost finish equal all over both sides of the coin. The coins you are showing have more contrast with the smooth gloss background and frosted details. A gold Libertad would be lovely to own. I formerly owned a Dos Pesos 1945 gold coin ring that was very beautiful and I regret selling it now.
Very nice coins Numi ....You have a nice collection....
I just bought a 2020 Gold Libertad 1/4 oz..only 700 minted.. (in your hand is 2x 2.500$ ...5000$ sir.. :)
Hi Numi. Love those Libertads. I, too, am a collector first. Just happen to have a few ozs. of bullion which, I consider, makes me a stacker also! Have you ever seen a 1982/1983 Mexico Proof Set? It has the first silver proof Libertad and some minor base metal coins with some very interesting designs. Love those Libertads! *:-)*
Why don’t more people collect Libertads? It’s a mystery to me
Libs are a good buy if you get them right when they become available. In 2017 once the mint figures were out most places, like APMEX, gouged the prices. It's kind of fun not knowing the accuracy of those figures and whether or not more will be released.
Already done, full set of proofs. 1oz and fractionals. Mexico's version of the Eagle and Maple Leaf.
Far nicer coin than the Maple Leaf or Eagle IMO. Libs are one of the few coins nice on both the obverse and reverse.
I am now sorry I sold my two 1/4 oz Gold Libertads on eBay, never mind I am now saving for the 50 Peso, It just looks so impressive, this one I will be keeping... I don't think I would pay £900 for the 1/10th, though. Great video. Cheers.
Nor would I but it will eventually trade for $1200 or so like the 1/10th 2003 bu does. I sometimes forget the attraction of Mexican coins and I wanted to remind myself
Very Beautiful Collection
Hey Numistacker, do you think all the gold proofs this year will be sold in sets or do you think some singles might be available as well?
Also, do you think Apmex will list them at a fair price if they get them? Thanks!
Hey Numistacker I have a question that you might be able to answer. I would like to buy a 2019 1 oz gold Libertad pretty much asap around the Holidays and New Year. I spoke to a chat agent on Apmex and they said, "Well we just got the 2018 Libertads in around August 2018, so I am guessing we won't have the 2019 gold Libertad in stock until July or August 2019." So my question is do you ever recall buying a current year Libertad around New Years or do you have to wait like 7 or 8 months after new years to find them? Do you think any will be available to purchase in January 2019? Or are they known to be released later in the current year? Thanks a lot. Love your videos.
I love the Mexican Bullion videos today!
Love the Libertads! I have the 2017 1/4 oz BU but I've been staying away from the Gold Proofs due to blood spots! What's your opinion on the Proof Bloodspotting?
If I see that I have NCS conserve it. Gold is much more conservable than Silver it seems
Numi, can you send me your video link on your graded 2014 Libertad set PF 70s. How I missed it is beyond me!
beautiful I want one B-} I didn't know they made them in gold
Should I buy 1oz Libertad gold Proof 2019 for 2100€ or a Libertad gold set proof 2017 for 4300€?
2019
Is there a face value on these?
I don't know why these are considered coins - they don't have a denomination. They are closer to a round than a coin. The silver are simply "an ounce of silver" no peso value on their face and same with the gold coins. Beautiful, but not a coin. I think that's why they aren't as popular.
Technically they are not a coin but the Mexican bank will accept Libertads for whatever the spot price is, so it acts like a coin. They are beautiful with low mintage, hence the reason collectors like them.
"simply" an ounce of silver?
It is legal tender in Mexico.
Your 2014 set is amazing! Love the Libertads...looking forward to the 2018 Proof Gold release.
Thanks Larry and I thought Libertads would entice you ))
omg@@Numistacker
Where do u get your libs in the uk
tendulkarisgod I think he flies to Florida every couple of months
Something must have happened in 2014 at mint i collect 5 oz silver very low mintage key year in silver and as you note in silver
Silver 2oz is 750 mintage in proof
I bought the quarter oz because of you 2017 bu low mintage
500 coins only nice one
Just because they are “foreign” coins I think they will be nothing but curiosities. Cool, but not that much money.
Check out the 2018 1oz Gold Swan on eBay today. Apmex unloading at $35 over spot. Limited mintage coin.
Good recommendation
If your wrong who cares? Probably the poor sod that payed a silly price for a few gram of gold
