Some critics had the opinion that Heifetz would play too mechanic, with a lack of feeling and sensitivity. They were completely wrong as Heifetz demonstrates in particular with this masterpiece.
He was famously self-demanding, here's a quote: "If I don't practice one day, I know it; two days, the critics know it; three days, the public knows it." He was certainly the best.
It doesn't get any better than this!
Oistrakh.
Oistrakh is another wonderful violinist and favourite of mine
He's telling such an amazing story
Magical. No other word suffices.
Heifetz playing any melody makes everybody believes that is easy.
He was a Genious!

How so? Please explain further, I’m quite intrigued.
Some critics think if the performers don’t make faces while playing that they lack emotion 🙄
I prefer to let the playing tell me his inward state.
@@nickcarroll8565HOW WOULD YOU KNOW ONES INEARD STATE YOU ARE NOT INSIDE THE PERSON SO JUST HOW TELL US OK
There are always idiots around… they themselves have no connection to the soul… of course then you can’t hear and feel it…
Very nice 👌
thank you!!
Perfect!
I love playng the violin...
Que hermoso
It just sounds like how the composer wanted it to sound. !!
I don't imagine so, this piece was written originally for piano, but I agree it's a wonderful arrangement and the piece sounds beautiful on violin.
🇮🇷. 🎻. 🎁 Su cumple. 🎶🎶😘🙏

I replayed his spoken intro and recorded it. Sure would be fine if we could hang out in heaven? Anybody know if Mr. Heifetz believed?
He was a practicing jew.
If it bothers you that the video and audio are slightly out of sync as it does I, close your eyes.
God’s fiddler

life is a chess board 🧐
Too fast.
no. perfect
He screwed up the double stops at the end. Look at his face.
And??
Oistrakh’s version is way better than this one. This is the only music of Heifetz that disappointed me 😢

@@ivanaraqueI think that was Mischa Elman who said that.
