Dope, New sub here, I found your vids from looking up vids on the shallow water that’s the first pedal I’ve bought it’s my fav it’s subtle I wish I use it more I was going through a phase where I was getting pedals and trying to run Synths and all kinds of weird instruments through them to see what I get. As you know about gas this has led me down a huge expensive rabbit hole Here’s the pedals I’ve gathered that are good as hell but I still have to study them Empress reverb Empress Zois Microcosm Fairfield shallow water Zvex lofi And some other pedals, bro the meet Maude pedal by them is crazy as hell also Cheers! Thanks again
Dope video. I tried to recreate some stuff on flstudio. Its so much easier in ableton to do this kind of routing. Man i would love some more videos where you try to recreate pedals in DAWs. Keep up the good work
@@GriffinJenningsMusic chase bliss blooper or thermae would be awesome! I dont know how hard or easy it would be to recreate them in a DAW though. Also, didnt know about the shallow water before watching your video. So would love to see any other pedals you find cool as well.
honestly…. might return my recently purchased shallow water and just do this on ableton instead.. plus, maintain stereo audio! it doesn’t sound as subtle and natural in some areas.. but it’s more than good enough! More tweaking can be done to make it sound the way I like. You’re great for this, thanks!
Nice work on this (was searching for a software version of SW and this came up). In doing some of my own research I noticed that Fairfield posts the block diagram of the pedal in the manual with descriptors for each parameter. They don't indicate the ranges however (like the delay times) so definitely will take some trial and error. It seems the wet signal path just goes through a delay line then the LPG and then into the mix. The special sauce is definitely in the random generator and modulation of the delay time. Yours sounded pretty awesome! Even though it's not the same, it's one of those effects that when you're putting it into a mix someone won't say "hey you didn't use the real SW pedal for this!" 🙂
I don’t have much experience with FL unfortunately. However if you have some vibrato / chorus plugin and find some way to modulate it with a random LFO you’ll be on your way.
@@GriffinJenningsMusic yes but at 1:40 you start fresh by searching for an Audio Effect Rack. I do have both versions of the M4L LFO device but each one of them refuses to go into an Audio Effect Rack
@@0neTwo0neTwo oh yeah try dragging it onto just the bottom bar and then from there into the Effect Rack. It was doing that for me too I think its a bug
Absolutely phenomenal! You're so good and accurate in mimicking different behaviours of the actual analog circuitries. A new sub indeed! Cheers!
thanks so much!
You should do more videos like this for sure!
you're right!
really dope man, thanks for this! i'd love to see more recreations!
Thanks! Let me know if there are any pedals you can think of that you’d like to see recreated like this!
This is a great idea. I thought about doing something similar with my helix. But now a can follow your path to make it happen (no matter the device).
Really really enjoyed this video man. Learned a lot about the pedal and about Ableton. Do more like this!
thanks! i do plan on doing more of these soon!
Dope thank you !!!!
Very cool, I love the Shallow Water (and all of FC's stuff), and own all the VSTs you used to create this in Ableton. Going to give it a try!
nice!
I would love to see a video like this with thermae
I'd love to try! Wish I could get my hands on one

@@GriffinJenningsMusic bro I literally just pair it with the OP-1 and recorded a whole album in mosaic mode it’s a beast!

EQD Afterneath would also be great.
Great rundown. Can you share the ableton rack preset?
great vid, thanks! please do more like this. chase bliss?
i have been slacking but yes i hope to do a thermae one at some point
realy good! One question ist here a option to add some 'warmt' in the plugin?
Whoa! Brilliant, man! This is possible in Logic as well using midi fx to map to parameters on my plugins? Never done this 😱😃
i think you should be able to!
fire. Would be cool if you did tthe same with meet maude from fairfield circuitry

Thanks for watching! I think I could make a v2 now that is even better haha
You should try the v2! I also found a reaktor device called Deep Water that sounds pretty damn good also
Hey do you have the adg of the effect rack possibly I’ll pay
hell yes
Does it recreate the horrible hiss of the SW when the LFO is past noon?
no ;)
What settings to use for stock plugins?
I have my eyes on a couple of pedals
The Enzo
Death by audio rooms
Mood
Railroads
And some others ones it’s too many

@@prodbytytaan Hey! Also an FL Studio user. Was wondering what you used for the random modulation?
how did you get the MIDI Effect LFO into an Audio track? lol its only letting me use the other one that is blue gui not the yellow
hmm this is a Max for Live device, not a midi effect maybe you have to download it off the Ableton site if you don't have it already?
