I hope you’re having a fab Saturday! Thank you so much for joining me for tonight’s food shopping…Aldi & Sainsbury’s & tonight! I’ll be down in the comments for a wee while 🥰
It always makes me giggle when you say how large the watermelon is. Here in the southern part of the US, those watermelons are quite small. Ours are at least double that size. Still, the ones you buy look very lovely.
Hello Cheryl from Louisiana I love watching your grocery hauls its fun to watch to see the different foods you have there I dream one day of going to Scotland and seeing the beauty of your country I notice groceries are alot cheaper there than in the u.s. thanks for sharing your grocery haul many blessings to you and your family
Yes, UK prices are considerably lower than Aussie prices too! My favourite pie, the good old Fray Bentos S&K Pie is now $10.50 here - that's over £5 to you, Cheryl! Last I heard, you could scoop them up for around a pound!
It’s extremely frustrating to see that prices of groceries in Scotland compared to my area in America. 😢 I shop for one 💁🏼♀️ nothing fancy. $75 per week
Isn’t that the truth, but I think gas,and electric is more expensive, and restaurants are often the same price as here, fast food often seems more expensive, and wages are less.Eating in restaurants is more expensive that if you take the food out from the same restaurant,.People in the UK think they don’t tip,but by charging more to sit in a restaurant in a way they are tipping, but it is probably going to the restaurant not the wait staff.😊
Hi Cheryl! My Father-in-Law went cold turkey and gave up smoking overnight, but he bought himself a packet of Polo mints until he'd got used to 'not putting things in his mouth'. I don't think he ever got used to not putting things in his mouth though, because he lived quite a long time after giving up smoking, but never gave up the Polo Mints! I would love to get my hands on some jersey spuds too, but they don't export them to Tasmania - boo hoo! But the smaller the tater, the tastier is my mantra!
We had a great day. It is 85 F at 6PM (high today was 87 and the humidity is at 77%) . It hasn't rained in weeks now. TY for sharing another great week of grocery shopping in the UK. I added it up and it would cost me around $200 here in TN (shopping at Walmart) to buy what you bought.I love seeing yor groceries on Saturday then seeing what you cook next week. I bet that tomato soup will ne good in your beefy macaroni. Love ya.
Last week I got a package of the mixed red and green grapes. The red were so nice and sweet, but the green were not. This week I just got the red. I do envy some of the frozen items you're able to get, such as those cheesy hash browns that look delicious. I've never seen them here. I'm in Washington state, US and there isn't an Aldi's near me but I don't know if they even carry that type of thing in their US stores. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing another weekly shop Cheryl, like the look of those cheesy hash browns 😋, look forward to hearing what you think of them. Take care 👩🏻🍳🛒💖
I love that split package of coleslaw and potato salad…genius! I wish they would sell it like that here in the US. I guess they want us to have to buy both😤 Always enjoy your short little shopping hauls, thanks for posting them! (Also, just fyi, your video title says “April 13”😜) Happy weekend to all😊
Fabulous Food shopping haul 🙌👌👌👌💜 Me neither.don’t taste difference in the beans. I remember preferring the weight watchers beans for many years. Oh,Heinz and Branson,I find are really really sweet if anything to say xx
I buy those cheesy hash browns they lovely Cheryl you won't be disappointed but my favourite ones from Aldi are the mini waffle hash browns ones 89p a bag airfried to go crispy ummmm. Love your shopping hauls
Hello Cheryl, I must say thank you. You were the one who made me interested in lentil chips. 😄 I was wandering around Farmfoods one time when I saw a multipack of Burts lentil chips at a really good price I really enjoyed them. Nicely scoop shaped dipping. Thanks again. 👍🏻
Hi Cheryl, I honestly think that Aldi & Lidl aren’t any cheaper that anywhere else & I don’t think the products are as good. It’s maybe the things I buy ? X
"Rank" is such a great put-down! I don't think we have frozen baked potatoes here in the USA except "twice-baked" but those are way, way better homemade.
UK probably has more of the baked potatoes in their stores ,as they are way more popular there than here.I love a baked potato, but tuna, and corn just doesn’t appeal to me,I saw someone get cottage cheese, and pineapple on a baked potato 😊
Another good shop cheryl thete nicotine replacement suppose to wean you of am exactly the same as mr whats for tea been taking them for years i think there addicive 😅 thank you for sharing Cheryl enjoy the rest of your weekend 😊❤
I must be a weirdo because I love watching people's grocery hauls......If I go on holiday I am more interested in going into the supermarket that the clothes stores.
@dattaxpony920 well, there are triggers, too. For me, quitting was relatively easy because I had never gone above a pack every 24 hours, and the coastal air in my new residence was messing with my lungs (because I have asthma). But also, it was easier to quit because the triggers were gone: long conversations with my chain smoking sister, going out to bars and clubs with friends, (smoking being placed outside of those venues) and not having my social group in this new city made it so much easier
@@LindaC616 I only started smoking because it's the only way you get a break working in restaurants. I smoked for three months over the summer then once I was back at college I just stopped. Save for the occasional cigar I haven't touched tobacco in decades. A 2 hour commute? How did you survive that???
@dattaxpony920 lol, the first semester, I had to be there at 8 am. So, I had to leave town at 5:45, and I survived on coffee and nicotine, lol. Stayed overnight and went home after work on Tuesday. Repeat on Thurs/Fri. For 4 yrs, on winter roads. Young and dedicated, lol. My lease ran through January because of my divorce, and my intent was to move to that town in january. But when I saw what kind of place it was for newly single people, I decided that I would have made the trip twice a week, anyway. On Wednesdays, I would have gone back and forth with my advisor on Wednesdays, and I would have gone back and forth on the weekends just to be with my friends and live a little

I’ve never seen baby corn that wasn’t in a tin! That looks much better! Cheers!
Exactly. I have only seen them brined in a tin. We need to know more. Looking forward to seeing how they're used.

Hi Cheryl. Nice haul. Looking forward to how you use in your "what's for tea." Cheers.
Always interesting. I'm from a watermelon growing area in the southern US. Your watermelon would be considered small here. Have a good week.

Aldi do a fabulous pesto salad dressing in their specially selected range. And also a house dressing in their regular range both delicious

Hi Cheryl, we have been buying the Cheesy Hash Browns for a while now and I can say they are lovely and make a nice change from Fries.
Fab haul :) My son loves those cheesy hash browns! Have a lovely week xx
I wish we could get baby corn packaged like that in US.
Yes, it's quite rare to find them here in Australia too - and I love them! They are the only type of corn my poor innards can tolerate!
Fabulous Food shopping haul 🙌👌👌👌💜

That's why he hasn't smoked for years 🙂
Enjoy the day, if it's still fine there!
I was gonna say nicotine addiction (which is what hooks people on smoking)is really hard to break. But good on Mr WFT for not lighting up!
