You could also opt to attach the AK buffer tube adapter and slap on an M4 buffer tube + DD stock or MOE stock if available for even more recoil reduction.

For that AK build, I know the NPCs drop a better stock like crazy in the end game zones and the AKs that artisan seems to give constantly for task rewards have a really good pistol grip. Obviously these aren't as reliable as purchasing but I wanted to at least make note of it because they are not uncommon either.

How do I put a Scope on my SKS? Would be great if I can slap an ACOG on that one
