The Trojan War was actually a war between the east and the west, not between two cities, and this war has never ended until today. The eyes of the west have always been on Anatolia. When Fatih Sultan Mehmet conquered Istanbul, he said, "We avenged the Trojan from the Greeks." At the same time, the name of the ship on which the Armistice of Mudros was signed when the Ottoman Empire lost the First World War is Agamemnon.

@@wankawanka3053 Turks have been living in this land for more time than you do. So we know more than you do. There are many ideological interpretations in the classical historical narrative. It has the purpose of attributing everything to the Greeks. But it wasn't. Even the language of the Trojans was not Greek. They were the people of Anatolia. Yes, this was the war of east and west.
1915... The bloodiest days of the First World War... Britain and France want to help the Russians who are in a civil war. The only passage is the Dardanelles. The ship at the head of the British navy is called Agamennon! That is, the Mycenaean King who conquered Troy!
The year is 1919.. The Greeks invade Western Anatolia. And with the War of Independence started by the Turks, the Greeks were defeated and pushed back from Anatolia completely in 1922.

Any person who actually believes that this is the real Troj is an idiot.First of go read Homers descriptions of the city,of where the ship sailed, and you will see that not only is this not troy, its nt even on that part of the world. Its the other way around in Bosnia a city called Gabela/Daorson which was the capital of the Bosnia tribe of Trojanci =The followers of Triglav or the god Triad.Thats the reason DAORSON is being halted and not excavated (less then 1%) because it would prove exactly what it @t Troje,Trojanci,Troja,in Bosnian means 3,Third,and so on.Oh ya the 3leaf clover you know the symbol of Troy is on 99% of all Bosnian megalithic stone blocks,on our flags,in our mythology and so on.Even the old maps show Troy here.Put everything to the side and just take the walls for example the indestructible walls, these megalithic walls that were unbreakable and @t these ones that look like a small wall that you could take down really easly and thats why the city walls have been destroyed and occupied by many different cultures, and look at the megalithic walls of Daorson in Bosnia and tell me which one looks like the real Troy from the books

      Ancient Turk means =Centeal Asian
      Modern Turkish= Anatolions.

i m greek and i seriously doubt that this is troy because it doesn t make sense to be where slieman says he found it.....I believe the real troy is constantinople or istanbul as many people call it!!why?...because 1). it is impossible to have been built in a "virgin" yet strategic place that noone else in the past noticed it ecxept emperor constantine!..there was a city! 2).the survivors of that war(iliad war) abandoned the remnants of troy and headed west where romus and romulus founded a new city, and called it Rome!!! 3).when constantine founded constantinople in the byzantine period it was known as the new Rome!! 3).the iliad war had nothing to do with beautiful helen.it was about trading and colonization,it involved money/wealth and control of that area and unfortunately it was a civil war between greeks!greek tribes, greek city states as they were known!! also i believe that the "verigios channel" is human made just like the corinthian isthmos here in greece!....i know all this sound crazy but there is a rational base however you just can t be opossite to mainstream historians but we are very often witnesses of an atempt by somepeople to slightly alter historic events!.....this is city could have been just a byzantine empire fortress, one of thousands in our territory...

your people were not present during ancient times Superautsider, read history, and no as opposed to your non existant ancient histroy Greece had written language and everything is there to read..The problem here is that your races lack ancient history, because they appeared much later chronologiacaly with roots attatched to mongolia, so you try to take some other nation's to make it your own..And yes your are totaly wrong, do your reasearch better next time .
