This doesn't get acknowledged much but it's not just misogyny in the incel community, but it's also misandry too. Many are so hyper-fixated on women and finding love that not only do they end up putting women on a pedestal, but other men become one-dimensional props that fit broad caricatures. Also, as unpopular as this opinion is, I believe we feed into the incel mindset by mocking them. Don't get me wrong the public figures like this guy are spreading harmful ideas and deserve all the ridicule they get, but a lot of them are in these communities to begin with because they already feel ostracized by everyone around them. Part of this stems from a lack of self worth, but honestly a lot of this also stems from society's obsession and over-value of relationships. The prevailing attitude of "you'll find someone eventually" isn't necessarily true either and leads to some of the entitlement you see incels have. The solution, on top of therapy and self-reflection, should be to dispel the idea that, at least in the case of men here specifically, you are valuable based on your ability to find a partner or get laid. So, as someone who is by definition an 'involuntary celibate': to my fellow incels, y'all are kings with your own rich lives, personalities, and hobbies, and you don't need someone else to validate that you're amazing people. Better yourselves and boost your confidence, not because it'll give you a shot at finding love, but because you deserve to live your best lives and achieve your goals.

Hi Diego Mo. You don't seem to need any assurance but I will say, "almost 30" can be an ideal time to start considering partners. It's a bit scary because said partners are more established in life, yet this also helps identify which matches may or may not be sustainable. Hrm. This reads more clinical than I'd like. I do have an invasive question: is there a perceived flaw you live with? Something that makes your situation difficult but also easier to understand? For example, I'm single but also have a lot of unresolved trauma; though working hard, I'm not sure it will ever be resolved & as such, I've paused trying to initiate anything because... that makes sense. About the whole thing about having an advantage as a guy who searches for partners offline: I agree to some extent. This works if you are primarily looking for "normie" people. In my case, it would be a different story. Not just because of my appearance (e.g. short height) and mixed signals (involuntary because of my slight autism), but also because I am polyamorous with a slight tilt toward relationship anarchy. Poly people typically don't wear badges or something to be identified by and most people aren't poly. On some dating apps, you can actually see what people are looking for. On the street, most people are all about the typical relationship escalator. If you want something different, it gets really hard to find that outside of very specific events.

About the taking 50 selfies thing: I can corroborate, autistic sigmas don’t need to take 50 photos, we look good in the first. This doesn't get acknowledged much but it's not just misogyny in the incel community, but it's also misandry too. Many are so hyper-fixated on women and finding love that not only do they end up putting women on a pedestal, but other men become one-dimensional props that fit broad caricatures. Also, as unpopular as this opinion is, I believe we feed into the incel mindset by mocking them. Don't get me wrong the public figures like this guy are spreading harmful ideas and deserve all the ridicule they get, but a lot of them are in these communities to begin with because they already feel ostracized by everyone around them. Part of this stems from a lack of self worth, but honestly a lot of this also stems from society's obsession and over-value of relationships. The prevailing attitude of "you'll find someone eventually" isn't necessarily true either and leads to some of the entitlement you see incels have. The solution, on top of therapy and self-reflection, should be to dispel the idea that, at least in the case of men here specifically, you are valuable based on your ability to find a partner or get laid.
So, as someone who is by definition an 'involuntary celibate': to my fellow incels, y'all are kings with your own rich lives, personalities, and hobbies, and you don't need someone else to validate that you're amazing people. Better yourselves and boost your confidence, not because it'll give you a shot at finding love, but because you deserve to live your best lives and achieve your goals.

That video was originally a mini documentary on how expensive childcare is and talks about the childcare system in the 40s during war efforts compared to now. This guy is literally arguing against childcare.
It even mentions the propaganda campaign called the “Cult of Domesticity” that used ads and posters to convince women to be housewives after their work during the war was over. So if you ever see these tradcon types use 50s drawings of happy housewives in the kitchen making pie or something as “evidence” that women were happier, they’re literally using art from a 50s era propaganda campaign ad to keep women in the home.

Someone being so deadset on there being solid dating rules and preferences that skew everything (if you're as much as less than 5'9 for example) points towards nothing but complete lack of experience not only with dating, but with having any sort of personal relationship. Hi Diego Mo. You don't seem to need any assurance but I will say, "almost 30" can be an ideal time to start considering partners. It's a bit scary because said partners are more established in life, yet this also helps identify which matches may or may not be sustainable. Hrm. This reads more clinical than I'd like. I do have an invasive question: is there a perceived flaw you live with? Something that makes your situation difficult but also easier to understand?
For example, I'm single but also have a lot of unresolved trauma; though working hard, I'm not sure it will ever be resolved & as such, I've paused trying to initiate anything because... that makes sense.

I agree to some extent. This works if you are primarily looking for "normie" people. In my case, it would be a different story. Not just because of my appearance (e.g. short height) and mixed signals (involuntary because of my slight autism), but also because I am polyamorous with a slight tilt toward relationship anarchy. Poly people typically don't wear badges or something to be identified by and most people aren't poly. On some dating apps, you can actually see what people are looking for. On the street, most people are all about the typical relationship escalator. If you want something different, it gets really hard to find that outside of very specific events.

When I was really into lifting I would always compare myself to giant dudes online. One day I realized in my social circles I was the swole guy. It is super unhealthy to compare yourself to the best the world has to offer. It's like you said, you have better odds if you just put the app down. Also, being the swole guy isn't necessarily what people are looking for.

In polite society, women save face by stating their preference for personality traits, when however in relatively private spaces where information is limited, case in point: dating apps, women default to superficial traits, just as men do in either case. In their defense, both types of answers are sincere to varying extents. It's the medium that biases which of the two is more likely to surface.

Also apps and meeting people for the first time irl both depend alot on appearance. Its one of the easiest things to make judgements on before you talk to someone, so it makes sense for both men and women to look at that even tho it can be kind of shitty.

Look, I’ll be honest. The woman in the video was kind of annoying. She was definitely judgy, so saying “I was so nice to him” is obviously completely wrong. She wasn’t really nice. However, what this incel doesn’t understand is the same thing can apply to the man. They were both condescending to each other in their own way. Perhaps the woman made it more blunt, but I DEFINITELY saw some judgy behavior from the guy too. Especially with the “she thinks she’s cute” comment.
