You obviously have a great deal of experience with both Deere Country and Messicks Service Departments. How do they compare in servicing YOU? If you feel equally comfortable and satisfied with both, get demos on your ground of NH, Deere and Krone with your most challenging crop. This seemed to work pretty well for OLF. He seems very happy with the Krone but that is him on his ground with his crop. Krone may very well not be for YOU. Its a heck of a lot of money to make a mistake with.
Onelonleyfarmer did, what I thought, a pretty fair review of his demo of the machine. I think we can all agree that if it worked on Onelonleyfarmer crop, it would work on almost anything. Mulch hay is about the most challenging forage a piece of equipment will deal with.
Bill Whitman the worst material in a Baler is corn fodder. it is so hard on them we do a lot of that here in the fall with the New Holland and it takes its toll on it. thanks for the comment have a great evening

I have not heard of the tank on top and would like to know why the acid on the hay and what is the acid and why is it used all new to me and I guess others.
canvids1 If moist hay is baled for feeding purposes (not for mushrooms) it will get destroyed by mould. Acid keeps mould away and fermentation of grass starts. We use it for wrapped, silage round bales and the tank is in front of the tractor. Acid can be a mixture of formic and propionic acid.

Look here in my part of Australia Nh Balar are king mix of other stuff in saying that jd tractor are around but they'd a lot of comp and the local jd dealer are rubbish so lose it (I now that Nh see to have a bad rap in the states a the present time so if you think of it)may be good to see the krone as Wes run it and makes a hell laps of hay
one new jersey lawn mower was going to buy one of these. but i don't think the deere dealer really wanted to deal with the BS that would come along with him owning it so he didn't get a good deal lol. i'm sure it would be a great machine for you
If your going to spend that much money on a machine why wouldn't you go look at every brand of big square baler. And isn't this just John Deere second or third year redesigning someone else's baler.
Joshua Goad I like green and red John Deere's coming out with a new pickup head for 2018 and a couple new upgrades to that baler we need the second Baler to keep up with the work John Deere has been working hard to make a good baler i have nothing against krone what I like John Deere and New Holland big balers
I've seen a lot of videos and comments lately about things being said and was wondering in the speedrower video you say they are fine your neighbors been on your place many times and works good. obviously you like you NH baler and you seem to praise it so why are you looking at a JD. you talk about not burning bridges with horse people makes me wonder did you burn a bridge with your rant about your NH skid steer and the dealer that now their not giving you a deal.

As well as some other new features. We have a good standing with John Deere, and I feel that we have a good relationship with messick's as well

I think too much got taken out of proportion and thing said got taken too literally. just because someone says all or everybody or everyone you have to take it with a grain of salt and read between the lines a little. I see you got a lot of crap for things said that I think was taken out of context and also the same to the other side. it was just a clash of egos, opinions, and trolls that got out of hand. from your videos I've seen you have nice well maintained equipment and take pride in your farm and the job you do. I'm sure you'd say the same about the other farm this week because you know the scope of what he dose and accomplishes. I dairy and the way things are going for the last year or so it killed my ambition and lowered my pride. people don't get that their seeing 10 mins of someone's life and one channel show the good and they think everything runs perfect and the other channel shows fixing stuff all the time and they think their hard on things and just trash stuff. your right people should get a chance and I believe your as good as your word if you need time to pay say so but if you don't keep your word don't expect me to cater to you again. sorry to ramble on but some of this bothers me we farmers need to stick up for each other there are fewer all the time and we should be there to stand up for each other like on comments that all someone dose is mow big lawns,they are also putting down what you and I do too. funny I was just going to send this and got your message.
I run a new Holland bb330 and a krone 890 xc. I demoed a new deere and actually was very impressed , in the process of pricing one now.
Are you nuts. Your baler is working fine and you want to sign up for more payments. Remember you complain about money all the time.
Speedster1919 well if your business is growing it's always good to keep going forward. it takes one piece of Machinery to pay for the other.
When the rains comin, maybe having a second baler to finish the job isnt a bad idea.See if anybody has a used Krone or Deere in real good shape Eric.
why don't you demo a krone since Wes pandy is so ruff on his machines it must be the best since it holds up

Elm custom harvesting I would have thought under 30%dry matter grass silage would be the toughest material to bale for stress on drivelines and such.

If you can afford to upgrade your equipment then go for it. Newer equipment should mean fewer breakdowns.

They are built in Ottumwa Iowa. I actually built them in 2016. Good Machine!
