The 16mm and 75mm are like second generation lenses compared to the original 3. They have next to no focus breathing, and are sharper wide open, while retaining a consistent character with the rest of the set.
You can buy 2 Nightwalker lenses for less than the Tamron and if you stretch the budget just a little more, you can have 3. I personally wouldn't use a "Photography" lens for shooting a short film. Not that you can't, but cinema lenses just have a different look and feel. There are different reasons as well, like sharpness factors, TStops, Bokeh etc. I'm not sure how the Tamron performs but it may be a little too sharp in the end so I would look into that if you decide to go that way. Photography lenses are usually known for being sharp and clean. I'm not a big fan of overly sharp lenses or what you may hear people refer to it as "clinical" looking (unless I'm shooting photos). Hope this helps!
Yeah most people don’t pronounce it right but hey, feel free to make a video and tell everyone how to say it correctly. Honestly though, who really cares, dude?
For inquiring minds, SIRUI is pronounced - [sue-ray]
Also, f you would like me to do a breakdown on my set up for the RED Komodo, let me know.

No test footage?
For my first lens, what do you recommend? A sirui nightwalker 24mm, or a Tamron 17-70? (I'll use it for short films)
