one of the funniest anecdotes about She is that Harry and his band recorded it while they were high on mushrooms... his guitarist had to then listen to the track to relearn his solo at the end because he had no idea what they did lmao
I guess Im asking the wrong place but does anyone know of a trick to get back into an instagram account..? I somehow lost the password. I appreciate any help you can offer me
harry has said this song is open to interpretation, but a lot of fans speculate that the song is about a man struggling to embrace his femininity or struggling with his identity. loved your reaction!
Harry likes a little bit of everything and we have his dad to thank for the classic rock vibe since he’s the one who had Harry listening to the genre. My dad did the same with me. Even when he was with 1D, I knew he would lean more towards rock when he went solo.
Nice reaction! He's actually one of those artists people tend to overlook because he came from a boyband and glad that people are finally discovering how good he is. I recommend listening to sunflower vol. 6 and only angel.
Every single professional musician that has listened to Harry has been surprised and impressed by him. He still has that boyband stigma on him, but with the success and appreciation of Fine Line it's finally slowly dissolving. I couldn't be more happy about it. He is so much more than just an ex-member of a boy band. Extremely talented singer/songwriter.
Harry Styles has managed to take all his influences and merge them all together in his own unique style, he is truly an incredible and inspirational artist, and an absolute beast on stage! His presence is breathtaking! I hope you will check out more of his music :)
Thanks Suzette! I had another Harry Styles song ready to go today but it was blocked worldwide. I’ll try again in the next couple days. I’m loving his stuff!
Harry’s such an extremely talented artist , and that’s the problem he’s finally getting rid of the boyband stigma . Most people when they hear his name , don’t even think to listen to his music . I suggest you react to the song Fine Line off of his album Fine Line or better yet , the whole album !! It’s a masterpiece .
Best way to experience Harry is live! You should react to his performance of medicine at St. Paul and maybe sign of the times live at Graham Norton show (old but classic Harry). Love your reactions :) also, you can never go wrong with his covers - sledgehammer and girl crush are amazing!
Their first two albums were pop and they didn’t have much say in them but their last three albums they actually got to write on them and they were more I’d say British pop rock
I wouldn't say rock.. haha. But yes their last 3 albums were definitely more guitar and live instruments influenced pop with some soft rock influences and I would LOVE to see this guy react to their last 3 albums :')
@@louvelvet midnight memories is definitely pop/rock , especially live , made in the a.m is not , made in the am just blows my mind honestly , it's the best album I've ever heard , it doesn't have a bad song , like midnight memories can have a couple of songs that are weaker than the others but made in the a.m is just wow ... so yeah I'd enjoy his reaction to any song from made in the a.m and some songs from midnight memories and four
One thing about Harry is that he is almost always better live. There are a few videos while he his sick but man can he and his band perform great live. I was never a fan of 1D but once I heard kiwi and only angel I went down the rabbit hole hard for a year.
I think so many people sleep on that album , it doesn't hqve a bad song , like it is the best album I've ever heard , I've been listening to it at least once a week since it came out and I'm still in shock with how good it is ... one direcfion was and still is underrated tbh, people think it's cool to not like them or hate on them , they don't take them seriously cause they're meamt for "teenage girls" what can they say now that we're all grown up and still listening to them uh ??
Keep 'em coming, Harry's great. But you need to check him live, he's a phenomenal performer. Medicine from St Paul or Kiwi from MSG would be good fun and I think you'd enjoy them
Thanks for your reaction. Harry was always a true musician but because of the way he got his big break I think the expectation was low from the general public as to what he might produce as a solo artist. I only discovered him last year and really got into his debut album as it was a soft rock style and his new album is very diverse as I think he loves to experiment with lots of genres and doesn't want to stay in one genre. He has done some amazing covers as well as his own original performances. You could check out Sledgehammer cover on Howard Stern, The Chain (from BBC1 live lounge), or Medicine (Harry original) from St Pauls. He hasn't done a huge amount of live performances from his new album due to covid. Lights up on SNL was pretty amazing tho (and is different to the album version).
I’m in my 40s and I love both His solo Albums. They are both so different and not what I was expecting either from a member of a boy band. I actually went back and listen to the last One Direction album and it’s quite good. There are a number of songs that remind me of musicians I liked growing up. You should check out Made in the AM.
at around 8:30 you started talking about 1D and how you wouldn’t have expected harry’s music to sound the way it does coming from his boy band background, which I think is the same first impression a lot of people have of him... that’s certainly how i felt at first too. but then i discovered harry and fell in love with his music, which led me to start listening to more 1D. the funny thing is, those rock influences in harry’s music have almost always been there from the beginning. but because only 1D’s more poppy songs got played on the radio, that’s how a lot of people perceived them. but they were definitely a pop/rock band. i highly suggest you listen to midnight memories (either the song, or the entire album by the same name)- that entire album is their most hard rock inspired album, and it’s just really fucking awesome!! I love their first 2 albums, but those are a lot more poppy and very clearly younger than the last three, and you can really see how the boys have grown and matured in their music style and lyrics in those last three albums!
Great reaction! One of my favourites of harry style's fine line album. The kid is such a talent. He's got the dark, raspy tone that's gonna age well. He's got a vast vocal range. An amazing performer. A beast on the stage. Kindly check his kiwi and Medicine live performances🦋
I’m guessing Kiwi got blocked since I don’t see it in your videos. That sucks. He and his lead guitarist who is a good friend of his wrote this song on shrooms. They kinda forgot about it but then played back what they recorded from that night and loved the song. Mitch his guitarist had to re-learn the song because he didn’t really remember it. One of the reasons that most people are surprised by the music Harry is putting out is because One Direction was marketed as your typical boy band which it wasn’t. Their last three albums were more pop rock/punk. They didn’t go down the stereotypical r&b pop sound.
@@MetalGuyReacts there's this one performance on LA, you can look it up as 'kiwi kiwi kiwi'. It was the last song, on the last show of his first tour and he sang the song three times in a row, it was insane. a lot of people who were there said that it was one of those out of body experiences, and harry literally went crazy during that performance. it's defenitely the best one but also, if you want one with good quality, I recommend the one on the late late show, but I think James Corden also blocks a lot of his stuff so I don't know if you'll be able to scape the block with that one

I'm in my 30s and I agree. Also the first time with this song I was like "I'm so glad that this song will force people to listen to Shine on you crazy diamond if they wanna know where this came from"
Also if you wanna listen to 1D I'd say Hey Angel. I think it's 1D's "bitter sweet symphony". And the bass line makes me happy. And I saw someone saying Zayn's Sour Diesel. I agree. Aaaand Harry's Fine Line (song) and Woman.
Thank you for doing theses vids. I truly enjoy watching people react to Harry Styles. I just started following him after hearing sing of the times. And I really love his take on music. I even went back and listened to one direction to see how he evolved over the years. You can definitely tell that he grew up listening to a lot of 60’s 70’s and 80’s music. Unfortunately he’s been frowned upon because he got his start in a boy band, but I feel that only helped him grow in to what he’s always wanted to do.... one of his major idols was Stevie Nicks, Pink Floyd, stones, Beatles, Bowie, just to name a few.
I hope you keep reacting to Harry!! He has so much to offer and he is insanely talented. I also hope you try one direction!! Their Made In the A.M album is very different from the stereotype that they were given. I also recommend his performance of Sign of the Times performance at BBC live!! He is influenced by so many things and really doesn’t have a specific “genre” that every song could be put in together, which makes him very diverse! Anyways I loved this reaction and I hope you dive into more of his music and performances, as well as maybe some one direction...they might surprise you!
The Graham Norton show performance of Sign of the Times is more superior than the BBC live one. If someone never heard the song before or never heard it live, should not be robbed off to first time hearing it as he performed it in the Graham Norton show. That performance meant a lot to him and he became really emotional by the end. It was amazing.
Sign of the times live on the Graham Norton show is definitely my recommendation. Also there's actually a lot of debate about whether he's a tenor or baritone. I think because he's in pop where the classifications are less important it's harder to determine. the most popular opinion is that he's a high baritone
This is his best song. It is as far away from a pop hit as possible. It it so organic and groovy. It is like blues! And most of his other songs are very good already, but this one probably goes that extra mile.
You said that you feel like One direction was like that boyband-pop type of music, and I get what you mean, the first two albums were pretty much pop and the lyrics' kinda like cotton candy sweet and stuff. But you should react to the last three albums of them. You could really be surprised how different their style is!! This was an amazing video as always, keep going!
You should react to Finneas, his songs are so amazing and I think tou would really enjoy. I recomend Lost a friend, let's fall in love for the night, angel and break my heart again.
Thank you for this reaction, always a pleasure to understand it's not fangirling blocks my critical mind, Harry Styles and his wonderful band are actually that good. Harry's fanbase tends to think that it's about man's inner feminity. Musically, the only point to support this theory is his falcetto in the chorus, which is uncharacteristic for his sound. From media standpoint still tricky. He makes these bold fashion choices, promotes equality and acceptance in everything he does (which isn't a sign of him being a part of LGBTQ+ community but not all get that). And he's very private about his private life, how dares he! This invokes tons of speculations and conspiracy theories. I personally think it's about lost opportunities, kind of reflection on mid-life crisis. I also read strong reference to screen beauty and how it's perceived by people outside the industry, how it can mess with them, live in their beds and heads. I know it's strange for 25-26 year old to write about mid-life crisis but first - he's not writing alone, second - he is quirky enough to write songs about mundane, obvious stuff and still come across as strange and mysterious. He can be a trickster like this, he never gives unequivocal responses so it can be anything, really. Whatever it is about, the song is a masterpiece, one of my favourites of his.
That's an unpopular interpretation, the one I assumed myself. Most people think it's about the duality of man - his masculine and feminine side. I don't get that vibe tbh, only reference is the Prince like falsetto in the chorus but he sang it with usual voice once and that mysterious vibe was gone, it only made me be more sure of my interpretation. Kinda sad song, man living in illusion of what could have been, getting lost in it and forgetting to live real live. Thinking about first love or just dreaming about a girl from a cover not knowing that real person and being in love in the picture. Like a Mirror Erised from Harry Potter :) Either way, it's a piece of art, I'm glad it gets the credits it deserves. Thank you for your reaction!
Harry Styles is innately talented!!!! Check out 1D's last album "In The AM" (?), there's a progression! I hadn't heard of 1D until I heard Harry's first album in 2017! I was late to the party. He's Brilliant!
Victoria B Roberts Made in the A.M. is my most favorite album. It’s on my vinyl wait list, I must have it! I am also a little late to the party but having the most amazing time!
You really should react to Only Angel! Its from he's debut album "Harry Styles". I thinkone of the things I like the most about Harry is the variety of genres and styles his songs have
I think you should react to Rina Sawayama, she is a really versatile artist, she goes from pop to metal in just one album. my recommendations are: Dinasty, XS and STFU!
Yes harry is crossing genres. Try listening to his covers. U will be amazed at how diverse his voice is. Try listening to his cover of juice by lizzo, or ultralightbeam by kamye west or chain by fleetwood mac, girl crush or even sledgehammer by peter gabriel or even still the one by shania twain. U will be impressed with him more. But of course u have to finish his 2 albums which showcases harry's diversity and talent!
His video for Golden is coming out tomorrow! It would be so cool if you reacted to it! Also if you manage you should do Adore You EXTENDED VERSION first because we think there is a story that connects the two
a lot of One Direction songs have a huge classic rock element to them... Best Song Ever takes its opening from a Who song. Alive and Little Black Dress also sound heavily influenced by classic rock. Definitely worth checking out some One Direction songs as well as Harry's other music, I think you'd be surprised with some the stuff One Direction has put out.
The thing about Harry and all the One Direction boys is that they are old souls (mostly Harry, Niall and Louis, since a lot of their influences are 70s and 80s rock as well as British pop rock). One Direction (I discovered after becoming a Harry fan) was definitely not what one would expect a pop boy band to be. The early days were more pop, as they were quite young and had little creative control, but even then they had a bit of an edgier sound. By their 3rd album, they did a majority of the writing and their sound became more pop rock/rock. They definitely were more like a stadium rock band with quite a few great anthems. As they got older and matured, their music did as well. It is quite a phenomenon that they are now gaining a whole new fanbase of older fans (I'm in my 40s) as well as men (as opposed to the stereotypical teen girl fans) because many have been introduced to 1D after becoming fans of Harry, Niall or the other boys' solo music. They are all incredibly talented.
Definitely check out some album tracks from one direction. They are not what you expect. I’d recommend THROUGH THE DARK, FOOLS GOLD, OLIVIA. As a rocker, you’d appreciate the live performance of WHERE DO BROKEN HEARTS GO on the X factor featuring Ronnie Wood from The Rolling Stones on guitar. It’s epic
HEY!! I definitely recommend reacting to a band called Inhaler Dublin!! Bono’s son Elijah is the frontman and they just released a great song called “When it Breaks”. They’re still pretty small but they haven’t released a bad song yet in my opinion!!
I’m a 20 year old metal head, honestly i don’t listen to a lot of nowadays music by myself but i try to keep my ears open. To me Harry just feels different...he even has a band (there’s nothing wrong with session musicians) but he’s taking a lot of risks if you compare him to the top artists of his generation.
Listen to temporary fix by one direction live, it's definitely 80s inspired! Drag me down and alive are definitely really good songs too Or listen to their cover of teenage dirtbag live!

I recommend fine line, kiwi, only angel, and falling!
Great video bro
Sign of the times live on the Graham Norton show is definitely my recommendation.
Also there's actually a lot of debate about whether he's a tenor or baritone. I think because he's in pop where the classifications are less important it's harder to determine. the most popular opinion is that he's a high baritone
I recommend listening to Sunflower Vol. 6!
This was an amazing video as always, keep going!
mainly "Four" tho, that was cool
Whatever it is about, the song is a masterpiece, one of my favourites of his.
you should react to harry medicine (live at st.paul). I think you will like it
That's an unpopular interpretation, the one I assumed myself.
I recommend listening to Woman and Fine Line
From his Fine Line album my favs are:
Golden, Adore You, Lights Up, Falling, Cherry, Sunflower Vol. 6, Fine Line. Those are fireeee 🔥🔥🔥
bit basic
@@Charlixcxofficial well nice to know your opinion on it. What about your fav track of the album?
You really should react to Only Angel! Its from he's debut album "Harry Styles". I thinkone of the things I like the most about Harry is the variety of genres and styles his songs have
Nice reactions from u too 👏👏👏
You're cool!
Do ‘Fine Line’, the last song on his second album ‘Fine Line’, another 6 minute ballad. 👍🏻
You gotta check out the song Drag Me Down--1D
Fireproof and Fool's Gold by One Direction they are great songs also Teenage Dirtbag by One Direction (Cover)
Listen to his 'Only Angel' pleaaase, I wanna see your reaction.
I think you’d like listening to only angel, woman and medicine :)
His video for Golden is coming out tomorrow! It would be so cool if you reacted to it! Also if you manage you should do Adore You EXTENDED VERSION first because we think there is a story that connects the two
I reccomend Anna and medicine- his unreleased songs
this song reminds me a lot of comfortably numb by pink floyd
You should react to one direction midnight memories PLEASE
I recommend listening Golden by HS
a lot of One Direction songs have a huge classic rock element to them... Best Song Ever takes its opening from a Who song. Alive and Little Black Dress also sound heavily influenced by classic rock. Definitely worth checking out some One Direction songs as well as Harry's other music, I think you'd be surprised with some the stuff One Direction has put out.
You should react to medicine (live at St. Paul’s), or sight of the times live (graham norton show) :). Harry has wonderful stage presence
I posted my Medicine reaction tonight 🙂 But my Graham Norton one was blocked ☹️ I’ll try another copy soon. Thank you!
The solo at the end reminds me a lot of Guns N’ Roses guitar solos
you should react to why don’t we fallin
I’m a 20 year old metal head, honestly i don’t listen to a lot of nowadays music by myself but i try to keep my ears open. To me Harry just feels different...he even has a band (there’s nothing wrong with session musicians) but he’s taking a lot of risks if you compare him to the top artists of his generation.
Omggg react to woman !! A masterpiece🌺❤
Golden please. It's a good song too 🔥
Pink Floyd esq music with Beatle esq lyrics
You should listen to some of his cover song. He is awesome.
Listen to temporary fix by one direction live, it's definitely 80s inspired! Drag me down and alive are definitely really good songs too Or listen to their cover of teenage dirtbag live!
❤❤❤❤❤❤
You gotta react to the OTHER Harry! Harry Mack - Omegle Bars 43 🤯🤯🤯
