Saara is cool and an incredible singer. The song has some good ideas, like the chorus, but ends up being a big mess, especially the production is pretty damn horrible. There's potential, but need better songwriters and producers. Good luck out there, girl!

Mash Riley Come on! She has the support of a huge record company on the back. It's not like she selfproduced this shit. Saara's performance on this song and video is not the issue. It's the lame and uncreative song combined with bad mixing. And the video is badly produced also, Saara could have filmed better one herself using a tripod and a DSLR. I'm not even going to talk about the typofull lyrics in the video. So well done SAARA! and shame on you Capitol records!!! :(

It's a kimono, which is JAPANESE, and NOT Chinese. I know this because I AM Chinese. She did put Chinese lanterns in that segment though.

And debating about this being "best Finland has to offer" isn't really feasible because everyone has a differing musical preference. Finns tend to like catchy songs but metal is also very popular. If this kind of music isn't to your taste then that's fine, but don't apply that ideology to the country as a whole.
Finland has a lot of globally famous people when you compare to the total population of Finland, which is about 5,4 million. The Dudesons, Kimi Räikkönen, Mika Häkkinen, The Rasmus, Poets of the Fall, Matti Nykänen (cough) and believe me that doesn't even include everyone. We also had Nokia as the world leading phone manufacturer up until the smartphone era.
Maybe these aren't really from the same category as music but still, superstar can be understood in many different ways.

This is actually really good song. One reason you might not like this is that you generally don't like this type of music. In an album of a modern pop artist there are songs that are weird, familiar, repetitive and so on. Katy Perry is one veeery good example.

This is cute. It really gets your personality across, but.. The song isn't great. It sounds like a cliche but I really think you've been screwed over here, somebody's tried to make you a 'pop star' and they've managed to make you look more like Rebecca Black.
The song gets a bit better after the 2 minute mark, but really the whole thing is a bit meaningless. You're incredibly talented and you're still going to go a long way, just have a word with whoever's guiding you.. because this doesn't showcase your talents at all.

That's totally a Chinese traditional wearing, the words on the lanterns are Chinese too, but why does it have a Japanese subtitle?
Most Japanese characters are Chinese, Japanese has three forms of writing... (which i forgot what they were called lmao), Also Traditional Chinese Clothing is more straight forward, its not AS decorative
As a half Japanese who has been to Japan numerous times. She got the costume right. It's a more modernized version of the traditional Japanese yukata/kimono. The head piece not so much.
As for the characters, they are correct as well. Japan has 3 different alphabets. Hiragana, katakana, and kanji.
Hiragana and katakana is originally Japanese, with no connections to Chinese. But kanji is connected to Chinese. Japan took a lot of the Chinese characters into their kanji alphabet.
The only way to distinguish the two is to see if hiragana or katakana is used in between the characters, then you know it is Japanese. And most sentences typically do not contain just kanji, there is always katakana or hiragana used.
Chinese does not use hiragana or katakana.

As a half Japanese (and Spanish): the answer is because the girl probably thought about depicting some 'Asian theme' and threw around a weird mix of cheap stuff that looks kinda Japanese and Chinese (which is probably the same for her). The whole things felt incredibly cringy to me. I wish people at least tried not to make cultures that are not their own as trashy as they look in here.

Of course she is good. This is just the first single, more commercial to put her out there. Pop artist's first singles are always like this, to reach a broader public since they are not known yet. They put out more "niche" songs once they have an established fanbase... or at least, it generally is like this. In fact I think the second half of the song is not bad at all, kinda showcases her vocals...
I don't really know what to comment but I really love Saara. She's hilarious, beautiful and she's very talented. Her voice is amazing.

Im so disappointed, i had high hopes for her, but then she comes with this comedy trash, this feels more like a parody/making fun video than a lyric video from a serious artist. The song itself is really medicore and basic. I still think she has a good voice and potential, but she needs better material and she needs to stop acting so comedic and start acting like a true serious artist and a singer.

Tiny Tim and Weird Al built a carrier on parody and silly songs. They both had/have a lot of talent. This music is just sad. "Ur Cool" ? Come on, this is just ridiculous. I believe in you Sara, ditch Capitol and start doing some serious art before you end up being the laughing stock of the Internet like Rebecca Black.

The lyric video is really light hearted and comedic because that is just the way Sara just does her videos in both her channels. Don't worry too much though, this is her first single, don't judge the whole album from one song. Who knows? The album might be a masterpiece- maybe not... But how do we know if it isn't released yet?
She doesn't "need" to do anything. I don't like the song either, but I would never dictate it's right to exist. Sara is free to express herself however she likes.

Like it Sara for a first song, but i think you'll come much further if you use meaningful lyrics, don't let the label turn you too pop.
What's weird about her is that she's got this incredibly changeable face. With different settings, makeup, manner of speech and movement, and clothes, she can turn into a different person. Gorgeous every time, but in a different way. It's amazing!

This is one of those songs that you don't fall in love with on the first hearing, but after a few times it's stuck in your head and it's impossible not to like it
Ok... When I first heard this song I totally hated it. I thought she could do much better. Today, I've heard again the song because of the lyric video... and seriously, I can't get this song out of my head! I still don't think it's a good song.... but omg, I'm all day with the "Hey! I think you're really cool! I like you a lot!"
