so from what we know in tomorrow's episode zeedan is going to call rana's parents and sit them down with Rana. Imran will be there too. Rana's parents will offer Zeedan financial backing for his business if he agrees to take back Rana. I think because Kate's pretty much deserted her and Rana's told Zee she still loves him that she will go along with the idea. The blackmailing thing specifically is just a idea I have, cause it is a soap after all, I think Rana's parents are going to threaten her with something from her past to get her back in line. Who knows tho.
In terms of a Kana reunion, that's just inevitable. You don't build up a story like Kana and then leave it here.

What I am shocked about was Rana and Kate have slept together, 5-6 times and I was like 'what....when'? I thought they kissed....if Rana was with a man, they would have shown the scene, female - double standards. This through me in a loop...does not make sense.
mumihp if the sex scenes were with zeedan, then all 6 would have been shown, AND before watershed aka the 7:30-8:00 episode

To be honest, I am more shocked with the crappy writing today. I just thought, Rana was not at that stage to sleep with Kate especially because of Zeedan.....I thought Rana would not cross that, even Kate, they would have waited until they told the truth. Today was OOC for me.

@@thoinsthem being a queer couple does have a small part to play but also the age demographic for Corrie is mostly older people you have to remember Corrie has been around since the 60s so people back then would have grown up watching this and for some people this could be a little out of their comfort zone
Also the watershed is 9pm and nothing unsuitable for children is allowed to air before 9pm so they do have to tread carefully even though the watershed rule doesn't really apply to soaps like Hollyoaks especially in the ste and Brendan era the watershed rule went out the window for stendan

I'm going to pin this on every video tonight. The writing for these episodes was shockingly bad really. Kate was not our Kate. I don't even know what to say at present, I'm just rushing to edit. It's hard viewing because Kate was written out of character. I love them both and I know it was all plot driven so Rana hits rock bottom but it shouldn't be at the expense of Kate's character. Please take that into consideration when commenting.

Totally agree, I love Kana, but wow....Kate just outs Rana, something so sensitive. Zeedan was angry, there was no reason to out Rana, they could have calmed him down. Kate, OOC, she was almost cold hearted. I know they are distancing Kate from Rana because Rana will hut rock bottom with her family pressuring her and offering Zeedan money to take Rana back. I just hope the angst will will be seeing does not take months....

Well done Zeedan for giving Rana a hard time. He is the victim in this and Ranas coming out at this stage was because of one thing only - because she saw Kate with Sophie. It seems that her own interests got the better of her because if it was over with Kate in her eyes, she wouldn't of said anything. So this confession, although noble to a degree, was not done out of the kindness of Ranas heart but an instinctive one. A confession that has hurt a person who doesn't deserve it. But Zeedan will inevitably suffer more heartbreak as the Kana fans WILL be getting their wish.
If you read Bhavna's interviews you will see that Rana also told him out of guilt. She knows now that she had to move on with Zeedan and to do that she wanted to absolve herself of her guilt and hopefully work on her marriage. To put it right. She did not have to tell him and could have just carried on, and he would have been none the wiser but then you may have complained that she was lying to him etc. She cannot win can she?
Rana is absolutely terrified, yes she cheated but she is completely alone with no one to talk to. And don't get me started on the writing for tonights episodes because it was shoddy. Plus from next week Zeedan is going to be beyond horrid to Rana. It is going to be tough viewing.
I completely agree to a point but I also think the thought of her parents giving her money even though she is ‘deciecving’ them and Kate telling her it physically hurts to see Rana and Zeedan together also added to her reaching breaking point. She knows her confession will hurt Zeedan and his family and her parents but lying is also hurting all the same people without them fully realising it.
stephkt I understand your point of view Stephkt. But I'm slightly more harsher because like Zeedan, I was cheated on in the past. So it's a bit personal but I've read about Zeedans treatment of Rana - and I hate it. It seems that this MIGHT be a reason to push Kate and Rana back together, due to Zeedans treatment of Rana. Thus giving her a way out to Kate without the guilt. Which would make you happy 😉
Hanbl 1696 Pressure from family members can be heavy for some. And this is no different for Rana, if Kate and Rana end up together, there will be so much collateral damage in the process. But this storyline has me hooked no matter how indifferent to Rana about her actions.

Karen Alexander Corrie doesn't really do love scenes, you normally just get shown kissing and then the implication or conversation about sleeping together. With Kate & Rana, the first time they slept together was on the 15th December. They implied by Kate offering Rana sugar and meeting up at the flat. Kate dangled the keys if you remember. Then the rest is off screen :)

Zeedan isn’t a violent person, he’s trying to keep his cool. It would be too easy for viewers to take Rana’s Side if he started shouting abuse, throwing things and threatening her etc. he’s still angry and from what’s to come he doesn’t let her go so easily. But he’s not violent

I didn't think that October ep was that stellar either. Although it was a pivotal conversation btwn Rana and Kate it still lacked cohesion and clarity overall...
Rana says she became aware of her feelings bc imogen said it was how she looked at Kate...false... imogen didn't say anything about looks. And at another point it felt like they were having 2 separate convos. While that ep was a turning point in the Kana storyline I was never over the moon about it.
Ah you're thinking of the episodes on the 11th I think. That was Damon, he's stellar at comedy. But he made up for errors in the 9th October episodes so I was willing to forgo the whole what Imogen said bit.

Aww I'm sorry! It's because I get asked a few times so quickly :) Please forgive me for snapping. The lovely person who does the Spanish subtitles is in a different time zone to me but she is very efficient honest! And another lovely person who does the Portuguese subtitles had to start from the beginning of the playlist so was playing catch up. Yet again, she's been amazing and is almost caught up :)
