Thank you so much for all this content Cole!
You inspired me to start Online Writing. I read your book, The Art and Business of Online Writing, and started answering questions in Quora last January. I published an article a day, then transferred to Twitter last February.
Now, I have 500+ followers in Twitter, offering ghostwriting services (with the help of your new book, the a&b of ghoswriting).
You actually just quoted my thread yesterday. The one featuring the 5 archetype ghostwriting voices. Really grateful for that!
Love your content bro! Keep inspiring :D

    My reflection on the video:
    • Ghostwriting is a profitable career path and side hustle that offers benefits beyond monetary compensation.
    • To get started as a ghostwriter, it is crucial to position yourself as a premium professional and avoid calling yourself a freelance writer.
    • Develop a premium offer by focusing on solving a specific problem in a particular person in a specific way.
    • Conduct premium outreach by identifying potential clients and educating them about their problems and your solutions.
    • Make the 10X choice by setting high standards and charging premium rates that reflect the value you provide.
    Thanks for this actionable advice!

My current goals as a Premium Ghostwriter:
I discovered ghostwriting watching cole and ali abdaal's podcast. Then I joined PGA (Free Version). currently I'm 3 months in this ghostwriting niche. Posting out content and outreaching clients. Yet no clients, till now.
I'm targeting Self-Improvement RUclipsrs to write for them on X (Twitter) and LinkedIn.
So my current goal as a premium ghostwriter is to taste my first 5-6k $ / m.

Current goals as a Premium Ghostwriter:
    1. My goal as a Premium Ghostwriter is to target Course Creators and help them develop a specific Content Style.
Be that through humour, idiosyncrasies, their unique local vocabulary, or different writing styles, i.e., terse or long-winded or even poems. Any specific style/content that helps them stick out.
Many course creators copy the teaching styles of other creators like The Hormozis or Justin Welsh and start doing actionable tips and nothing else. But they can easily add a specific content style and immediately stand out.
That’s the gap I think that I can help them fill.
P.S. I’ve noticed that even you’ve newly added more humour in your recent videos, it’s working.
    Biggest takeaways from the video:
    2. The biggest reminder through this video for me is to focus on becoming a Business Consultant first, to get better clients. It reminds me of how important it is to create a content library in a specific niche. Only then will that library serve me as my Consultancy Playbook (which I can reuse unlimited times).
    Wanting to join PGA:
    3. I want to join PGA for several reasons:
    • I feel like my offer is failing because of some gap that I can’t recognize. I can’t understand how to frame it so that course creators can see the monetizable value.
    • I have tried cold emailing, and it has been hard. I can’t understand how to reach out to more people and keep working simultaneously.
    • I want to create EECs, but I can’t find any other online resource to guide me in making them.
    Please select me, Cole!

This is a really fantastic distillation and I found it extremely helpful - even though I’ve already taken your FSW and Ship30 courses!
My goals are currently to: develop and run my Piano Liberation Workshop course, to learn-by-doing all the components such as landing page, email sequence (both done!) - then deploy that expertise (and template, where applicable) towards ghostwriting for others.
The biggest takeaway for me from this vid was the differentiation between writing and being a marketing consultant who happens to be a professional writer.

My biggest takeaway from this video is that you can't just sit around and wait for the ideal client to find you. You have to go out there and find your ideal client. And when you find that ideal client, give them what they need-a free consultation. Show your ideal client one important problem that they have (that they may not even be aware of) and how you can provide them with a valuable service that improves their problem, thereby enhancing their business, marketing content, etc. It's almost a no-brainer to hire you then. And if they don't hire you at that moment-well, who knows what the future may hold. Guaranteed you left a lasting impression, and they'll knock on your door in the future.

Hi Cole. Thanks for all the value you share with us all for free.
Here's why I want to join PGA.
I've been a freelance writer for about 4 yrs now and to be honest, the burn out is real. Moreso, I've struggled to hit my dream income goals. So when I discovered you and learned about premium ghostwriting, I knew instantly that this is exactly what I need to do. I've already started. Rebranded myself as an EEC ghostwriter for business coaches.
I'm currently creating an EEC for one coach which we're going to launch next month. My plan is to use that as a case study when pitching paying clients (which I'll start doing next month).
So by joining PGA, I'll be able to polish my craft and my offer and learn from the GOAT himself (you Cole 😉) and therefore be able to grow my ghostwriting business and scale it faster.
So I'm really praying I get the FREE seat 🙏🙏🙏
My TAKEAWAY from the video: To command high rates as a writer, I need to not offer a commodity (writing any kind of content for anyone and labeling myself as a freelance writer) instead, a premium offer is what will attract the high-tier clients... specifically solving 1 problem for 1 type of person in 1 way.

You have made me understand over and again that freelancing is not the route. Building a Ghostwriting business is, whether you want to build an agency or not.
This idea alone has made me carry this consciousness that I'm a business owner not a freelance writer.
I would love to join PGA to Learn the practical steps i can use to build more credibility as a ghostwriter. Especially with offering the service of EEC to my prospective clients. I'm building my personal brand on LinkedIn as a nonfiction book Ghostwriter and i just added EEC to it. I'm really passionate about Ghostwriting, and ever since i got to know about EEC from you, it's been an eye opener.

What resonates most with me in this video was lesson no 1 about why we should never call ourselves freelancers. I'd put this on my LinkedIn page and after taking the 5 email PGA courses, I immediately went to yank it off.
The course about designing an email course, and educating prospective clients too, is pure gold.
There is no part of the email course I'd taken earlier, and this video that I did not find useful.
While we are often told not to count our chickens before they are hatched, I could already envision myself joining the PGA.
I have not wanted many other things more and I hope my desire to be a part of the success story of PGA and to someday pay forward your generosity in giving a chance to someone to join for free, would stand me a good chance of being picked.

    Hey Nicolas!
    1. My current goals are to land my fourth client and to deliver my second email course. Luckily, I'll overcome my beliefs so I can do so at a premium price.
    2. My biggest takeaway from this vid is the fact that most "premium offers" out there have the initial 2 segments (problem and target industry) but lack the specific way that helps that person become more of a "category of one" (similar to how you talk about it on snow leopard).

  • @alexis_ralphs

How do you set goals for your first year of ghostwriting? There are so many unknowns. How big is my niche? What can I expect to earn? What can I charge? In the first instance, I'd like to be fully booked. That's goal No. 1. After that, to raise rates.
I have been working with former competitors, helping them how to replicate what I achieved with my e-commerce business. I build out their blogs and set up email sequences; I create landing pages and lead magnets. But it's a lot of work! The simplicity of your approach is what I find attractive. Productised services seem to be the way to go. Step 2 is definitely where I'm falling down. Joining the PGA would bring some much-needed clarity.

One again, love your sense of humor, especially when talking about Upwork. "Set up an account on Upwork" is the typical advice given from so-called freelance writers to people who want to write for a living. Sites like that probably kill the aspirations of talented writers.
My biggest takeaway was to get off the beaten path. Try these five proven steps and be a 5k a month ghostwriter. There's more advice than the five. These compliment your book on ghostwriting. It's the only worthwhile book in the topic rich with writing wisdom.
Of course, I'd love to be mentored by you in PGA, who wouldn't? It's a program that will definitely catapult someone's writing career. I write daily in my 9-5 and I've had a great run at it, but it's not a writer career. I'm learning from the Fullstack Writer program and it's provided great insight in addition to anonymous ghostwriter.
Either way, your content is liberating for people who want to write but get hung up on the self composed roadblocks that keep them from taking that first step.
Thank for sharing these lessons on writing.

Love this video, two major take aways:
    1. A premium offer solves 1 problem for 1 type of person. When you only solve that one problem, you become the best choice for the person who has that problem.
    2. The people who need ghostwriters don’t want to get someone off of Upwork. Because why would a business owner want a generalist if they could hire a specialist?

-"Be the business consultant that can solve a client's problem with writing"
-Giving away consulting advice for free and monetising the implementation of such advice.

    1. As a Premium Ghostwriter, my immediate goal is to secure my next $5000/month client in the next 4 weeks or less for my Twitter (X) Ghostwriting services.
    2. And my biggest takeaways from the video are:
    * Nicolas writing for Silicon Valley companies and C-Suite Executives just shows how everything is possible with consistent & quality work. I am inspired.
    * I understood why ghostwriting is the best career path which allows me to get paid for learning, experiencing different lives, & developing different voices for variety of clients
    * And the biggest takeaway was to not be "Freelance writer" but instead be "Specialized Threads Ghostwriter" & not help clients with anything & everything.
Summary: Be a niched premium Ghostwriter with a premium offer who helps people with value & expertise to seperate themselves from the 99% of boring old businesses
P.S: I want to join PGA to retire my parents. They have been working too long, this is a way to give them a break and my next best reason is to grow my audience on X to 1M while impacting clients through my services. What's best than Dickie & Cole providing their most profitable & scalable secrets of ghostwriting in PGA?

Why I want to join PGA: To have the opportunity to learn from the best! Especially in the technicalities. When I came across your 5 Day EEC, I knew I’d found a unique way to help educate and tell stories through writing. Both of which I find so fascinating and exciting! Eager to learn. Fingers crossed 🤞😃

My biggest takeaway from the video is not calling yourself a “freelance ghostwriter”, as cole said “Words Matter” and it helps to position yourself higher and your perceived value is higher in the eyes of the client, out of all this was my takeaway.

I’ve been going in circles for MONTHS.
FINALLY I’ve come across this video at random.
I’ve even been contemplating to sign out for a few weeks now (not that serious, I think most people reach this point at least once in their life).
So……I’m going to go and implement all of this.
    And, IF THIS WORKS!
I’m joining the PGA, and I’m sending an extra 5k as a token of my appreciation (for LITERALLY saving my life).
If this doesn’t work in the next 40 days I’m probably gonna just sign out.

I've wanted to join this cohort for a while but just couldn't swing it financially. I've invested a lot of time creating an EEC but I'm not sure if it is good enough. I am always looking for clarity and optimization but The only option I have is to absorb what I can for free and hopefully, something sticks.
I love your content, Nicolas, and I have to say, to date, I've yet to consume anything of yours that was not helpful in some fashion. Kudos to you for all of your hard work and amazing accomplishments (including marriage).
If I were to be fortunate enough to be gifted entry into the program, it would be better than hitting Powerball. I want to evolve. Love this video. Best.

Why I want to join PGA?
Well, Cole! You are the person who taught us what ghostwriting really is.
I firmly believe you are the best mentor for those who want to kick the ghostwriting career and pitch to high ticket clients.
But for students like me, I'll not be able to buy this course until I earn some grands via copywriting.

I currently have two main goals as a premium ghostwriter:
Firstly, I want to develop a system that allows me to get high-quality clients consistently and reliably and escape the feast and famine cycle.
Secondly, I aim to help people in the self-education space - be it course creators, coaches, or mentors. After completing my business management degree, I now understand the value of self-education over formal education and have a real drive to help people access self-education instead of going down the traditional route.
My biggest takeaway from the video is that I shouldn't be the kind of writer who offers any kind of service, and that it’s important to maintain a level power dynamic (by offering only one premium service that they NEED) with the client when dealing with them so that I don't end up being overworked and underpaid.

    Thank you Cole.
My biggest takeaway from the video is the specific outreach strategy you suggest; Finding business owners in one specific niche and looking for ways you can help them.
(Are they trying to build an email list with a newsletter, or by offering a first time discount offer?)
If they are, you could approach them as a consultant offering a free consultation, effectively explaining that an educational email course for their prospects will have a much higher opt in rate than a Newsletter as education provides value and builds trust. They are more likely to get a higher sale value from prospects that appreciate their product or service rather than trying to snag a money off discount.
Through positioning yourself as a consultant that can provide solutions for the business, the business owner has a contact that can do more for the business than just write content.
As a ghostwriter / business consultant you can offer strategy and content; Educational Email Courses will increase their email lists, which will increase their customer base, which will increase their revenue.
And by using this educational outreach approach to find ghostwriting jobs, my reputation and skills will improve. So it's a win win .... and I have more chance of making an income from creating my premium offer of Educational Email Courses for my niche.

    1. I am currently pitching Therapists for newsletter services through cold emails.
I aim to land 1 high ticket client (who can pay me 1000$ - 5000$+ a month) before April.
    2. I want to join PGA to get a supportive community that will inspire me to keep going when I don't feel content with my progress.
I also want to learn further on how to write, automate and package EECs as a service. I believe PGA will help me achieve that.
    3. My biggest takeaway from the video is having a premium offer. I wish I knew this thing 2 years ago when I started writing online.
Having an irreistible offer is what's going to set your part from other writers and help you close deals.

PS: For some reason the sentence „consult for free and monetize the implementation“ clicked for me just now!😄

    5. Experience different perspectives

This video is pure Gold🎯 I've been thinking about this for a while now. Is Ghost writing a good option if you come from a diverse background? For instance, your studied finance but you've worked in tech and acquired core skills. Does this give you any kind of leverage as a Ghostwriting?

    • @nicolascole77
      @nicolascole77  9 месяцев назад

An insane amount of leverage, yes. You have what I like to call an "Information Advantage," which means your ability to write about those skills or industries for those specific clients is going to be worth a ton to them-because it'll be hard for them to find some random freelance writer who can "speak" that language like you can.

  • @harshalranka2934
    @harshalranka2934 9 месяцев назад

Takeaway : Most freelance writers are reactive to client's RFP/demands which puts you into a commodity category. But a premium ghostwriter is one who frames the problem that the clients have not seen and provides solution to the problem in a differentiated way thus becoming a valued business consultant (who happens to be a writer).
Why I want to join PGA : A community is as valuable as the people in it. Where most writers are focused so much on writing, they rather miss out on the most important aspect which is thinking. And this is where I can add value to the community as I understand positioning, messaging, copywriting, narrative strategy etc. which I believe is more vital than writing. Thinking comes first. Writing comes later. Last but not the least, I would like to become the most successful case study from the group, ever.

The biggest mistake writers make is saying they can do anything for anyone, leading to undervaluing their work and services.
The key to making money as a writer is to solve one specific problem for one specific person in one specific way, creating a premium offer that positions you as a trusted consultant rather than just a writer. Your unique way of solving the one problem for the one person is the key.
