I love this version much better than the half speed studio version. Great band that could have been as big as Duran Duran if they hadn't kicked Limahl out. These 5 guys had "IT"!!
I was a senior in high school when this album came out. OMG!! Damn, I'm old!! LOL!! ;) I went out and bought the 45 of 'Too Shy'. Remember spinning it many times on my old stereo turntable. I definitely remember flipping the record over and hearing 'Take Another View' for the first time. ;) Kind of a strange tune at first...different. But, I liked it. The very beginning with the helicopter(?) sound and the oriental, Asian sounding music from the synthesizer always conjured up images in my mind of being in the forests of Saigon with choppers overhead. I know, weird. But it always made me think of that.
What I would do to see them live! My goodness, sometimes I truly wish that I was raised in the 80's. What an amazing band. And I LOVE this version of Take Another View! I wish I was in the band! :)
Exceptional performance from a very tight band...and exceptional guitar work near the end. I always pay attention to some of the small "support" sections of songs and Steve's work on this is really special.
Wish I had seen them live because they were such a great band musically but they never toured the States or at least Boston. I love the two different shoes worn by Limahl. Funny; I was also like that in the 80's. Great minds think alike.
Wish they had toured the US. Many more people would have heard of them and become fans. I only found out about them a month ago when someone posted the video of The Neverending Story in one of my groups and then I searched Limahl and found all this great music. He was such a great performer, not to mention great voice and super good looks. The others were great musicians.
This one's news to me! And who says there's no decent "new" music to listen to??? Always more to explore both old and new that's just plain good stuff. ❤☮🌎
This band is what happens when you erroneously market a group of talented artists and musicians as a "teeny bopper pop group" - underrated for their potential. Worth exploring further beyond the hit singles!

Ma alla luce dei fatti direi che Nick è un musicista più completo. A me il primo disco senza Limalh piacque molto più del precedente...ammetto che ancora oggi ogni tanto lo ascolto !!

Peccato avrebbero potuto andare avanti maturare nel tempo sarebbe venuto fuori un gran genere un mix tra duran duran e depeche mode.

I heard the B-Side version of TOO Shy and loved this. Still love it. 1983/1984.👍 I love the studio version.
