Thank you! I can't believe I didn't know this functionality was available. Very helpful video from beginning to end once again. Question do you know if there is a way to set where creo loads the 'my appearances' ".dmt" file from? I have figured out how to create the file through the appearance manager, but I have to manually browse to it and open it each time I reboot Creo.

Sean, this is a little tricky and counterintuitive. First, make sure that the file is called appearance.dmt; don't try giving it a personalized name. Then set the option pro_colormap_path to the folder that contains that file. It is very particular that you do it that way in order to load on startup.

So I've created some appearances. Then I created some combined states with those appearances. How would I go about showing those appearances in a drawing view? Doesn't seem to be working when I simply select the combined state for a view. I'm on 6.0.4.0, by the way.

Exactly same issue here. App & Comb States work in model. But don't work/change in drawing views.

Is it possible to set an appearance state other than the 'default appearance' to retrieved when first opening up a model?

No, I don't believe so. The Master Appearance contains the original appearance of the components without assembly appearances. The Default Appearance can be changed though. To prevent changes to the Default Appearance, you may want to activate another Appearance State while you are applying different colors to models.

HI David, is there a way to put the Appearance states in the drawing as well?

I don't believe Appearance States or Style States are supported in drawing views.
