Really helpful, really clear! All your Axxe videos have saved me an immense amount of time - and money - and now my Mark I is playing better than ever! Loss of Portamento and S+H (which never ever worked) were the main problems your video helped with, and luckily I managed to bend the CV socket back into place, and swapped out the diode, thanks to you. Sliders? ah! - just gave them a good clean! I also did the infamous 'Peroxide/UV' treatment to remove the bromine from yellowed keys, which was really effective. There's still a bit of discolouration, but I'm pleased with the results. No doubt a complete Cap and IC (with sockets installed!) replacement would really help at some point (courtesy of components from New England Analog) - but that can wait for another time.

The S&H circuit in the AXXE is really unreliable. I've have to fix mine three times. In the end I just bypassed the transistor pair (IMF3958) and replaced the op-amp (Z1 LM1458) with a TL072 (or any FET based op-amp). Since then it has been good. I've had to rebuild the noise circuit a couple of times too! Glad to see that your's works now. It's a very underrated synth.

Hi, may I ask how you cleaned your sliders? Mine are in need of a cleaning. Did you use something link DeoxIT F100L fader fluid?

I hope that I can see the faders replace. I have an arp axxe make and I need to replace them, thanks for this video

Marc Moreno Gonzalez I have nearly finished replacing them and I will post the video. I would recommend replacing the with LED sliders because it is a big job. It took me a few weeks. But you can buy replacement sliders that are the same as the original ones, so they fit in the circuit board. You can get them from eBay, but they are expensive. There are also other videos on RUclips that show how to remove and clean the sliders and put them back in. So maybe search for them as well. There are many options.
