Just a little tip on building drift cars for each class without sacrificing too much power or parts you want on your build. Nitrous should be as low as possible. You don't really use nitrous. Burst is enough to save you in clutch moments. So if you want to keep your class lower it's better you don't add any parts. Differential should also be as low as possible. Because of the drift tires your tuning is locked into drift already, so your differential has no purpose or need to be upgraded. Thus keeping your class lower. Gears should also be as low as possible. In these drift events you only want to stay in 2 gears most often, which is 2nd and 3rd. They offer the most versatility, flexibility and power in almost every area on the map. 2nd gear for tight corners and 3rd gear for long sweeps, so there is no need to have more gears or a upgraded gear box increasing your class. Another thing to pay attention to is when drifting tight corners it's best to hold 30-50 mph/48-80 kph speeds, as this is a good margin of speed where you have the best control over the car for steering and grip without sliding out too much, for wide open long corners you can do whatever speed feels best and controllable, and just combine your style in it. Other parts such as brakes, suspension and clutch can be what you prefer or what makes the car feel best, when it comes to performance upgrades it's the same, do what feels best while also managing it to stay in the class you want to be for that specific vehicle. Drifting in this game has improved overall. There are some things that it still needs work on, like better control of the steering and a little more grip for forward bite and side bite. This combines with how it also needs to improve on how much the car slides, since it feels on ice, but an angle kit and physics improvement on it to help the car perform technical moves better like 90 degree drifts and hold it, or being able to angle lock and power through will solve that too so that overslide can be taken advantage of. Overall the new physics is good for basic arcade NFS gameplay, and is a step in the right direction.
I honestly don't get how people are struggling with that, the game is not harder to play because of it at all, by far the easiest thing in the drag race mode is steering. The game does all the work for you, all you have to do is pay attention to your shifts and look out for traffic. Classic Underground style.
The dead zone is fucked up and literally auto launches you into parked cars without even touching the controller casuals are stupid and y'all the reason this game is dead now because of this garbage ass update

With having online and cross platform play, Unbound is moving way up in my rankings of NFS titles!
Did a 5 win streak in the drift event's is fun. Its like the OG players will catch on quick with this drift system by how it slides. Rememinds me alot like underground 2

This really is like the og need for speed drifting just less grip and less acceleration when drifting unlike the other nfs though it could use some tweaks wonder if we'll get a prostreet type update too where they also do a mass rework on the race handling 🤔🤔

I'll be honest when I saw they were adding Melissa's eclipse to the game I was hyped thinking they would have brought back her actual bodykit from underground with the lights and everything, this makes me sad 😢 but I'm head they have made positive steps in this update and the drifting looks much better
My theory is we might win her actual car through challenges or the bodykit through challenges cuz due to time they didnt get a chance to add her bodykit yet 🤔

The Drift Pro mod is off the wall bananas and i love it. The drag update will take some getting used to, i haven' experience the lane switch in ages, and it's a little bananas in it ow as the car wants to overcorrect itself a lot it seems. Also, anybody pay attention to the AI drive after a Drift Pro race and it's total inability to control the mod>? I find that HILARIOUS. XD
glad they not just leaving the game for dead but like even with the new handling its so boggy and u cant drift any turns that are slight cause everything feels like it has the grip of a fuckin f1 car…. they should just hire car x for physics… they did all this just for it to still be subpar… the drifting was so bad at launch everyone glazing them now for adding a tiny bit more angle.
There's 2 complaints i have about the update, 1 is understandable and 1 is just dumb. The dumb one. Why tf cant we use the drift pro tyres in singleplayer. And the 1 that's understandable, there's no drift pro tyres for fwd cars which makes sense given they only had 1 dev who worked on the handling. I do hope we get a patch for that though, they could just change the fwd cars to behave like rwd with the drift pro tyres on

The Tire warmup screen is kinda wack imo, they should def change it to be more “intense” or stylistic per say, like Prostreet

you can change time of day while in the garage. go to settings > Game > Change time of day
