The north shore is the place to be, plenty of nice family beaches, parks and shops. Only caveat is the harbour bridge, great if you live and work on the shore, a pain if you work in town or the south. Too much traffic suburbs in the centre of town.
I rent a studio in a ex hotel in Anzac Avenue, its comfortable for me, close to work & Supermarket. My only Bill is unlimited interned from Orcon. Its nearly Summer, you can learn to Surf?
St Heliers/Kohimarama/Mission Bay is where it's at in Auckland... I myself went to Glendowie College, great school. I now live in Hamilton down the road, but if I ever moved back up to Auckland, those suburbs is where I'd be.
Stay away from ANY/ALL Western suburbs and Southern suburbs. Murray’s is nice. Rangi College is just too big. Stay north of the harbour bridge. Takapuna is often polluted, but it is close to the city. Hibiscus Coast is nice. Millwater, Milldale, Orewa (lowest crime rate)
Welcome to NZ. Hope you are settling in well.
Thank you - everything has been pretty smooth so far. Loving it here 😁
We lived on the The Parade directly across from the Lawn Bowls Club for 4 years, loved it, still miss it, especially this time of year
We’re enjoying your videos! Please keep it up!
Thank you 😊
I think you made a good choice. St Heliers is a pleasant and safe suburb.

Thanks for the video. The very first apartment you rented, was it Airbnb? If not, where did you get it?
Hi, the appt was indeed Airbnb, it was in Birkenhead, north-east Auckland :-)

North of Auckland is a perfect area.
