Spent 2 weeks there 13 yrs ago and would love to live there.....Loved Gama Stan and Lake Silian .....Beautiful country where my Mom and Dad were born......Hope to come back soon.

The selection is kind of disappointing: It says "10 Best Places in Sweden" and then it's 80% Stockholm and Kiruna area, which are indeed beautiful, but only tiny spots in a large country: What about Bohuslän, the area in Sweden that the BBC recently awarded as "most beautiful landscape in Europe", Höga Kusten, a coastline very popular by Swedish tourists, the moorlands in Småland (e.g. Store Mosse) - and what about the pulsating cities of Malmö, Göteborg, Uppsala or Borås? There are plenty of other cities in Sweden than just Stockholm.

I loved "old Town " in stockholm. It was my favorite but I haven't been to all the cities yet but this coming June, I hope to visit them all
Gamla Stan is certainly a highlight of Stockholm we agree.
Would recommend to visit Visby (during summer!) it is lovely!
