On the topic of Dental Implant Crowns & Bridges, the big question that always comes up is should it be cemented or should it be screw retained? There's a lot of factors that go into that. One of the very first ones is was the implant placed in the right spot?

I have implants on lower jaw cemented and I'm very not happy with that because very difficult to clean under crowns

For screw retained bridges (full upper), how often do you recommend patient to get it removed for cleaning or maintenance. Is that necessary?

In both cases crown is attached to a abutment by some bonding agent . Only difference is whether bonding is done in the lab or in the mouth. In both cases, three pieces are involved - abutment, screw, crown. Does the physics (mechanics) have better advantages if screw retained is used over cement? . As a patient ,I feel like in screw retained, Dentists have to do an extra step of having to close the hole on the crown face with some cement. Won't extra steps need additional prep overhead and also up for more ways to go wrong.

There are Angled Screw Channel (ASC) abutments available from Nobel Biocare, which will take care of the problem with malpositioned channel, so custom abutment is not necessary as long as you have the right implant and the crew driver
