The “chill charge” is the real hero.
Most definitely! Your chill game has to be tough. Will get things done and people will come to work. ❤
@@kansaspeach7727 if the “chill charge” tries to contact me on a day off to pick up a shift, I even consider answering the text 🤣🙌🏻
TOTALLY!!!! haha
No question about it especially with everyone already on the edge; burned-out, stressed-out, frustrated and anxieties are through the roof.
I provide Filipino food too when I'm charge. Not all of us likes pizza. 🙂
Chiil is the way be, learn to pick your battles
The bossy one= day shift
The chill one = night shift
Totally!
Absolutely!
Lies!
@@kellyrandall6852 I beg to differ 😂
I wish...
”Am I gonna get paid extra for charge? $1? Okay that's good that'll add up.” 😂😂😂
Lol that was my favorite part!
Nothing like an extra 12 dollars for all that aggravation!
@@18920rich Did you not hear that it adds up.
@@18920rich 🤣🤣🤣So true I know it all to well
Hello
As an EMT I have to say I noticed you're missing one
"The charge nurse thats never around when you need to admit someone"
🤣🤣🤣
Maybe they're busy being charge? 🤷🏽
It's always at shift change. Ha ha
I felt that in my core. And I'm a CNA lol.
‘Cuz she’s in the stockroom making out with the new orderly. 🤣
I got emotional when chill charge said “I noticed you havent taken a break yet, I’ll watch your patients”...... 🥺🥺🥺
An angel! 😇
I know, because that never happens, right?? lol
I did that all the time as charge nurse, I didn't take a lunch until all my nurses had theirs first =)
Never happened to me and my charge nurse was my sister in law!
Lunch? What does “take a lunch” mean? Is that when you run to the cafeteria to grab some food so you can stash it at the nurses station and then take your first bite 3 hours later?
The four people who disliked this video are the bossy charge nurses
🤣or the lazy one..
😂😂😂😂😂yes
😂
🤣🤣😆
🤣🤣🤣🤣
You forgot the charge who is overly positive haha. “It’s gonna be a great day guys! Give it 110%!!”
Those are annoying bc you don't have the energy yourself and it's the 3rd shift
When someone is crying in the crying room "have a positive attitude!"
"What, can I *maybe* help you with?" 😄😄😄😄😄😄 Awesome! lol
"Maybe" like wuhhh???
It’s a thing.
This is why you work weekends. We get the chill charge every time because no administration in the house!!!!!
I love working weekends
@@904Kellyy weekends are the best!! Weekend shift for life.
My hospital took away the extra $1, no incentive and managers can't understand why people refuse to be charge.
"That'll add up." I'm DEAD.
You know you'll have a good shift with "the chill one" and a heavy one with "the lazy one" pretending to be "the buzy one."
That is spot on.
True dat for sureeeee 🙄
As a British RN of 32 years experience I can tell you all these parodies are on point and translate to other nations too!
The Bossy One: **speaks**
Me: **instant flashbacks*"
I seriously zoned out when the bossy one starts talking, it’s my defense mechanism kicking 😂
Thought I was the only one😳
PTSD
I’m not in the medical field, but I feel like I’ve encountered each one of these people in some way or another. The lazy character made me laugh the most 😂
My sisters are both RN's and they always complain about the lazy, bossy and busy charges because there all one person LOL
I will pick up shifts depending on who's charge that day.
You forgot about the "paranoid charge" who is no help at all and just pessimistic; "dementia charge" who always forget to do things and is always wandering the hallways-they need to retire; "ADD charge" who needs to stop drinking caffeine and energy drinks; my favorite is the "foodie charge" who is always hungry, brings food for everyone and is always wondering what to order for food. 😄
You always check for who is in charge before you pick up a shift and for what days to sign up for call. ALWAYS!!
Chill foodie charge here!
@@celindahoyt8696 we never lose weight.
😂😂😂
PCT here- chill foodie charge 100%
Had one charge start the huddle with- what y’all want to order for lunch? 😁 and weekends rock!
Felt like I was at work there for a minute
oh no! lol
The charge nurse is ALWAYS telling me to put my coffee and water bottle away 😂😂😭 I gotta hydrate still!!!
Why don't they allow US nurses to have a bottle next to their station? worried about moving bacteria around? You can wipe it down before, during and after your shift...
@@Elisheval JHACO hospital accrediting BS.
@@juliejanssen7637I drink at work all day. When I’m done drinking I have to put my drinks behind the “Hydration Station “ sign, which is just at the other end of my table . I don’t know why some hospitals so harsh
The guy really has a talent for acting.
In nursing school they'll make you do lots of clinical simulations, I sometimes wondered if I was in for acting rather than nursing LOL
Forgot the “scattered” one
Not too far off the "New charge".
The bossy ones are charge and they make the whole world know it making it toxic
The chill ones make the shift bearable and don’t forget where they started
The lazy ones are not involved but make everyone do the work
The new ones adjust fine that’s where they find their happy medium
The busy one needs help delegating its okay to ask your team for help
The can you pick up one I always feel for so I pick up when I can
Thats so true. I started from the very bottom. Companion to HHA/PCT/CNA to Medical Assistant to LPN to nurse. I don't forget how hard I had to work as a PCT, thats why I'm the chill one. Their job is hard enough they don't need the added stress.
I like your interpretation.
@@quaterriawilliams5717 I am currently a pct starting community college in the fall for nursing pre reqs. Hopefully I can make it like you an be the chill charge haha
Forgot the one who’s never around! Like they’ve mastered the disappearing act!
I'm definitely the chill one. My CNA's breath a sigh of relief when I'm on. They always tell me they love when I'm on too. They work better when your not breathing down their necks. I Always say, i don't care what ya do, just do your job. You need help call.
So glad u mention CNAs
Do brunt of the work n treated like what they wipe up
I need a chill charge in my life.
💯
I started as charge nurse a few days ago. I could relate to the new charge nurse 🤣
am I the only one where "charge nurse" merely meant you were a regular floor nurse with 6-8 patients like everybody else but you had to decide who got the next admit and make the assignments for the next shift and that was like the extent of your powers?
Yep that’s me! The one with a full assignment and trying to keep the sinking ship afloat.
That’s what I thought charge nurse rly was
MOD kind of 🤷🏼♀️
Watching you is like reliving my 27 year RN career all over again with all the different types out there lol! You are soooo on point! 👍🏻
Passed MY NCLEX and my license was issued today!!!! Woot woot! I want to go to your show. Hope to see you in Denver!!!!!
Congrats!!!
My charge nurses are definetly chill.
My hospital only pays 50 cents/hr for charge and you take 5 patients instead of 6 so, yeah totally not worth it!
They still make you take patients? My hospitals charge nurses have no patient care unless they’re assisting with a code or something.
Whoh are you in America
My hospital dont pay extra, unless your pay grade specifically is for charge nurse. Not worth it for me. Been refusing to do charge, my other coworkes like it and thinks its a pat on the back.
Charge should not have patients but help everyone.
Yep same here literally .50 cents extra an hour that's insane tbh considering how much more stressful it is for a charge
Night shift charge fluctuates from bossy to chill but normally just bossy.
The charge on the badge, is the icing on the cake 😂
I love the ones that are chill but at the same time they’re more than ready and happy to help you.
"Me, charge?"😂🤣
Bossy Charge RN asks: “I need you to do this now”
Me RN to Charge: Got it! . . . Turns away & says discreetly: “Whatever. . . “ lol
After 22 years as a health unit coordinator, I have overheard ALL of these types. Soooo spot on and hilarious! And your shoot young.
"What can I maybe help you with?" 🤣
Lmao, the bossy charge nurse is the one that all nurses talk about behind their back.
You got that right on!
I lucked out with three super chill charge nurses. Very approachable and smart nurses ❤️
The “Bossy One” still..after 46 years. LOL
I'm in TEARS lmaoooooo so accurate
haha. thanks for watching!!!
The dollar extra--- lol that one hits hard! :)
"I'm charge, i've like BEEN charge, and it's like you're new" this is my worst nightmare as a new grad hahahhah!!
I was the chill one. I always helped the floor staff with patient care when they needed an extra hand.
I aspire to be the Chill One some day!
I try to be the Chill one....but sometimes people make me cranky. Also, you guys get paid extra for charge????
Girl I wish we got paid more when we are charge! I’ve heard some hospitals pay up to 5 dollars extra...my hospital zero 🙃🙃
The lazy one still gives me nightmares 😭
I always ask that too whenever I'm in charge. "Am I getting paid extra for being in charge" i think all staff who are not head nurses but made in charge ask that haha.
That's the best 'CHARGE' badge ever
You forgot one.....the "that's not my job" charge nurse and makes everyone else do their job. Everything else is accurate lol!
Busy charge is definitely what we've got every day in the ED
The chill one and the lazy one....always MY FAVS! 😄😆
"$1? yeah that'll add up" LMAOO
The Lazy One 😭🤣🤣🤣
I’m so glad the charge I work with most of the time is chill and helpful.
Lol this is cute, as a former charge nurse here - being ‘the chill one’ & too nice was me for a long time - but I also learned to put my foot down cause people will walk all over you if you don’t set boundaries. Lol calling people in was just part of the job - ugh, It could be annoying while taking care of the unit & concentrating on staffing it. But every job has its annoyances, I love being a nurse.
I have some really cool charge nurses who is leaving our unit because they said, "I became a nurse to take care of people, not do management!" A lot of them don't even want to be charge! They would be like, "I hope that I am not charge tomorrow!"
you are spot on and hilarious! unfortuneately, I might be considered 1/2 "the bossy one"
The busy one is always in NP school.
What can I maybe help you with 😂
*maybe* 😅
Omg this one remind me when I was charge nurse one time. THE NEW ONE!!! 😣😣
Me too lol
Yo and the chill charge knows EVERY one else in the hospital 😂
The chill one rapping cardi b 🤣 yes
I do not miss charging full time..lol... this just reminded me
I think I’ve been all of these depending on the type of day I was having.
Preparing myself to be the chill charge nurse. I certainly won’t be the bossy one...I abhor that personally.
You forgot the “over delegator” who won’t go talk to upset patients because there’s nothing they can say that you can’t.
Good one! The “lazy one” are annoying when you’re trying to cover 8-10 patients on your own and haven’t had your break in 4 hrs cuz the unit is short staffed 😤
Every business you go to they will always bash the day and night shift
Working nights I can say this is true!
Always
@@simmy6250 same I'm a night nurse as well
True, I work evening shift though and we get bashed a lot also
I would be a combination of the chill charge, new charge, and the lazy/gossipy charge lol
I think i've been all of them at one time or another...
Will I be paid extra for charge? Oh a dollar extra ? Ok 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm newish to health care and a relatively new CNA... Our charge nurse also takes patients and our DON works on the schedule. It's so different from what I thought it would be. I guess we don't have enough employees, but it works out in the end!
Same personas in the Laboratory, Central Sterile, and Hospital Security. The titles change but there’s always those few…
The jolly rancher haha so cute
I love the chill In Charge lmao I aspire to remain that calm but I'd probably be like the new one
I like chill nurses. If I were a charge nurse one I would hate that responsibility but I would be the chill one for sure and always helping the aides
The Lazy One is the best! They’re always acting like they worked the most.
My mom just got promoted to management and I sent her this and was like "k but if you're not chill charge you're wrong"
A dollar an hour? Oh , that’ll add up 😂
Now im at a hospital in nj and met a new type of charge - the one who won't hop off ! 😡
I'm opening NS "what are you doing?"
"Hanging fluids"
"Are you sure its ordered"
"Yeah...... i scanned it in epic............."
Just like every single mood of my boss 😂😂
Sir we trying to run a hospital here😂
I'm a staffing coordinator at a healthcare facility so "can you pick up?" is my entire job description
I'm the " I don't get paid to do all this extra work" charge nurse. At my hospital, charge nurses don't get paid extra. Plus, I usually have a full set of patients that I have to take care of, in addition to answering questions that the other nurses know the answers to. I'm the senior nurse (nurse for 25 years, at my current hospital for 15 years), so obviously I know the answer to everything🙄
They all look like versions of that extinct beast, the free-floating charge. Hard to be any of those when you're carrying 7 of your own patients.
Was a patient a couple of times.....at night are the most nice nurses working!!!! At day-time the most passive-aggressive controle- freaks!!! I wish , You would work in Berlin!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
The chill one was singin cardi 😂😂😭
When you are charge you can have beverages out 😂
I really, really hope I end-up with a chill one when I finish school, but with my luck, I'll get the bossy one.
Yes- that plus a full patient assignment for zero extra pay.
I’m not a nurse but have spent lots of time in the hospital with family. Love your videos. You let me in on what you all must go through in a day/night. I do teach Human
Growth and Development to future nurses at a local College and I love the video you did about the different kinds of student nurses after taking an exam. Right on the mark😅 Hilarious. Thanks for the insight and the laughs.
The passive aggressive “hand in your face” is so accurate for the bossy charges haha
The chill guy is usually well experienced. He's my favorite type of Ch.N
I was a mix of lazy and chill
The busy charge, always. There's rare occasions where I'm chill charge unless it's a easier going day.
you forgot the school charge. The one who stays all day at the desk on weekends and does homework as she foes not want to work do hard as a staff nurse forever!
We need more of those chill ones
On of my coworker was asked to be on call for 2 days and was told she would receive 10 dollars extra a day ,
