Samson Q9X Mic Review (VS Q9U, MV7X, PodMic, SM7B, AT2040, PO-8, SM58, Beta 58A and MORE!)

- This is a review and test of the Samson Q9X... Even more than that, it also includes comparisons featuring mics that could be considered the Q9X's competition (I'll label those mics below). In addition to having a blind comparison, like usual, I also open up this video going back and forth between the Samson Q9X and the Samson Q9U. THESE MICS DO NOT SOUND IDENTICAL. The Q9X has a "tweaked" capsule to optimize the sound (what Samson told me). I was eager to test this mic out and see if the sound really had been improved since I wasn't crazy about the sound of the Q9U.
If you are considering purchasing the Q9X I would encourage you to listen to the tests, comparisons, and make sure the features and accessories and what you need.

I wasn't expecting much before watching the reviews but this really is an improvement over the USB version
Initially, I was kind of annoyed by this release. However, once I tried it I was surprised and overall happy with the sound improvement they made!

Thanks for the video. I can't believe that I liked mic #5 & #8 from the blind test and it turned out that they are the same mic - Q9X. Though the Q9U is selling for $99.99 now which is very tempting I think I rather shell out $20 more to get the Q9X.

would this be the best overall mic for under $200? i have an elgato wave 1 and im desperately looking for an upgrade going for into 2023

Th Q9x is a lot better than the q9u it sounds way less muddy than the Q9u but I would pick up other microphones over it

I bought my q9u for 99
LOL bias review. The mic was given and he gave them a 9. This mic is clearly somewhere around 7. Sheesh the price, quality and features and not for a 9. Bad reviewer!
This is just so silly… I have literally ran over mics with a car that were sent to me, and I have given plenty of mics very bad reviews that were sent to me! just like your entitled to your opinion, why am I not entitled to mine? So what I like it more than you. You thought it was a 7, so clearly you still think it’s good. You know nothing about me, get outta here with that slander.
