Good video. 👍🏻 FYI. That plug is used for running diagnostics from the dealership. If those green and white wires aren’t still connected, their diagnostic machine won’t work. May not be a concern for some, but may for others.
Toward the end of the video when you screwed the ring on the back of the plug, was it hard to get your hand back in there to put it on? I saw a video where the guy bought Honda parts and they just plugged in, but he took off his front rack and plastics- the ones under the front rack, and over the gas tank. Seems like the way you did it is much easier...
I do not recommend doing this. This “plug” he is using is for the diagnostic device that the dealership has. If you cut this they WILL void any and all warranty’s

Didn't have much trouble at all. 1.5-2yrs later everything still functional and never rattled loose
@@pv2smurf that's what I figured. Thank you for the video and the reply.
Did you have any problems powering up the compressor?
No problems at all
Do you know what the adapter piece is called to get the more of a water tight seal?
I used one I found on Amazon that said Marine 12v cigarette lighter plug
I'm unsure if you mean the piece that plugs into the factory Honda wiring. Check with dealership or a quick search
Good video
Any idea why it's blowing fuses when I do this?
Check connectors and see if you wired it backwards. Could be faulty equipment
Can i install one on a Polaris xpedition 425
Glen, I don't see why not!! Though I'm unsure of how a Polaris xpedition wiring is compared to this Honda Rancher, it should be the same concept.
