In the "Making of Mein Land" video they talk about how Till was once harassed by local authorities when he was hanging out in SoCal. I believe the lyrics are partly inspired by that experience as well as Till's views on Nationalism.

From my point of view- this song is about anti immigration BUT not 100 percent. Immigrants from poor countries are mostly horrible (I'm from one of that shitty countries), but I believe that Rammstein is ok with immigration if people are ok and willing to adapt. They are pretty much liberal. An that's how I see this song.
