Oneshot is a game that I'll probably never play again, but remains one of my favorite story-based games of all time. A shame I can never experience it for the first time again.

It's silly, but after finishing Oneshot I genuinely felt like life was emptier, like a person I knew was gone. It honestly reminded me of the weeks after my childhood dog passed. I've never had any game leave such an impact on me and I don't think I'll ever experience that again.

I remember when I was playing OneShot for the first time, the decision at the end had me considering my options for 10 minutes... *10 MINUTES*. No other decision in any game had me think for that long. Definitely one of my all time favorites.

@@pirilon78 depends how "forth wall breaking" we're talking about, i'd say it's about one step above DDLC where you have to utilize your computer a few times to progress through
I think a lot of AAA companies don't understand (at least until now) is that players ultimately want to be engaged with many facets of their games and not just the gameplay. Indie developers in a good amount of cases really do understand this and I commend them for creating masterpieces such as Oneshot. Here's to hoping that they can lead the videogame industry into a better direction.
I feel like triple a games get overhated at times like there are some amazing AAA games like metal gear rising and the devil may cry series
but I exist, there's a reason why rhythm games are my favorite genre

You should also check out the solstice ending, like not the ending the game gives you, the ending you gotta achieve. The ending where you have to go back after your "one shot", if you haven't, trust me and many others its really worth it
I'm assuming he has gotten the solstice ending simply because of the airplane scene he showed for at 4:46 from said ending. Guessing he just chose not to bring it up in any capacity because it'd probably go beyond his "no spoiler" approach to videos

Solstice was honestly the most interesting part of OneShot that got me to stay and get both endings. It's been a while since I finished it, and I still listen to some of the OST because it's so chill.
Oneshot is a game that I don't see ever leaving my number one favorite game. Seeing first Pyrocynical talk about it, and now Foekoe makes me hopeful that more people will be able to experience this gem of a game. If you see this comment, and you haven't played Oneshot, i have message to you, and that is you should try it out when you can.

Being part of the Oneshot Community for a few years now, I'm happy to see this game getting some attention right here. And thanks to the World Machine edition that got released not too long ago I hope more people get to experience this amazing adventure

I was immediately terrified seeing in the first 5 minutes of the game "You only have oneshot, [insert my actual name here]." I didn't know how far into my computer it would get, but I enjoy feeling like someone is staring from the closet behind me sometimes.

Every time I hear Oneshot music, my chest hurts, because of how amazing it is and of how real the characters felt to me. I've played it so many times and I kow I will do so more each year.
The ending of Oneshot made me cry. Please, anyone, if you haven't, go play it. Please.
This game actually reminds me of the little prince. The idea of taming. A character, that is young and asks a lot of questions entering a world that is oblivious to them. We, as the god i feel as we are the pilot from the book. This game is a masterpiece.
Cant forget the ost being both comforting yet ominous, absolutely incredible.

OneShot is one of the best expieriences ive EVER had. I love 4th wall breaking walls where you actually need to do something outside of the game to progress. Outaide of that this was my 1st case of crying while playing
2:20 I have pstd from that episode, I was 9 when I saw it and Glenn was my favorite character

While he’s on the cute pixel game genre can I reccomend a short hike. It’s an little open world game that is about 2 hours long and a joy from start to finish

that wall of flesh popup got me laughing for a straight 4 seconds, which isn't a lot but it still got me laughing
After having beaten the game and all the experiences, with struggles involved, this game sits nicely with what it presents and the name really says for itself.
(Now this is spoiler territory, so do not pass any further)
When you complete the full game, and I mean past the simple choice between smashing the sun or not, it's pretty hitting on how it can make you feel, even if it's been done similarly. I think it has it the charm.
The ending being "very touching" was one way to describe it, I guess.

I am super happy that you talked about this game. More people should experience it. My gut wrenches while watching this because i know i wont be able to play it blind again, love your content Foekoe, as always.
And then a big chunk of the gaminternet decided to collectively all have the same Niko pfp and say the most creative, wholesome and funny comments ever for no reason. Amazing game for it to be so slow paced. Played it last year yet it still is something I remember so well.

Its still one of my favourite games for 2 reasons. One is because we arent in a character's shoes. Well, we are but the character we control and us are two seperate entities so its one of the only games where I got immersed and got attached to the characters. And two is I love 4th wall breaks.

Just finished Oneshot about 2 days ago and Oh my god this was the best finacial decision I have made since I bought Hollow Knight about 3 years ago.
The character designs, the ost everything about this game was chefs kiss.
Sometimes I forgot Niko was even fictional and started verbally talking to him lol.
