I've been waiting for mine since 7th October 2024.. Then we saw that recall, as 99wh battery wasn't safe.. then 99wh no longer allowed on certain aircraft.. but my board has been pushed back because the first 500 are being recalled and then we are being pushed to the back of the line despite customers saying, just post the battery and grip tape... Have I wasted my time??....
@@BackfireBoardsOfficial Cloudwheels on the new Nalu would be a total game changer! Really hoping you can team up with them again for this one-I know a lot of us would be excited to see it happen.
Yeah really. I mean, don't get me wrong I like the extra battery capacity, but one of the primary reasons I pre-ordered this was because it was airline friendly.
@@Hosieee If it's your first and only board, then that's understandable. I have another board so if I wanted range and/or speed I'd use that one. Furthermore, the extra battery capacity isn't significant, so the max range won't be a significant either. It's just enough to eliminate airline friendliness. The NALU seemed like a great option for a second board primarily because of its portability (street boards and AT boards are pretty heavy) The "airline friendliness" capitalized its portability. Now, if I wanted to skate with friends across the country, I'd have to do a long road trip, or spend extra money to have it shipped there.
I'm getting tired of waiting for mine. Been nice to have had them in transit before the Christmas rush, I'm in the industry, I know the challenges full well. **EDIT, due to the battery recall and all the extra time that that will take, I cancelled my order.

@@thenewme79 Same I'm almost tempted to cancel my pre-order..
@@AghilesGACEM same here man
Actually very happy with the extra capacity but yeah it does mean no airplane holidays, which is a shame. However I am very glad with the extra km’s

I'm thinking about canceling as well.. But it's crap weather in the UK... but I have a WING, but no surfskate... pointless and waste of time I agree
