Thanks so much for sharing Ollie :) Very insightful and found the fact that each snail clearly has its own personality very eye opening. Love your colours on the shell to help ID, will be stealing that.
@@ExploringExotics ah yes posca, a bit pricey for what they (and the fact they cant be refilled) but its a nice paint pen. I have some vallejo acrylic paints here that I could use
My personal favourite snail here in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 is probably Helix Asperara ( sorry if I spelled it wrong) they are a good size and are easy to raise. I like raising baby snails and Helix Asperara are so easy. I don’t know if you get them in the USA 🇺🇸 but they’re amazing 🤩
The first three( I know your unsure about species identification) but they look like they could be Ventridens demissus, a common snail found in the South East United States. They also look exactly like my gang of snails. Such interesting and cute guys. 😍😍
I may have baby snails soon, my snails have laid some eggs And I'm trying to hatch them now (wish me luck 🧿🐞🌈🐖🐷🍀❤️🙏🏽) I rescued some snails from the street today ❤️🙏🏽 Since it is very warm here I had to take it off the street… I didn't want those ends like the others that I found ... rip ❤️🙏🏽😓.
Aww congrats!!! Baby snails are so so cute! And good on you for saving them 💕 it was super hot here earlier and I went out and moved some slugs and snails to shade and gave them a drink 😊
What did you use to mark your snails? Everything I look up says it will hurt their shells or is toxic to them and a getting some babies soon and would like to be able to tell them apart.
@@theveggievillain7629 i use posca markers :) they're a little expensive but safe and last forever Only put a small dot on the center of their swirl though
@@ExploringExotics thank you ❤️ is it ok to put helix pomatia and milk snails together I'm rather scared to I read that pomatia can crush milk snails on accident.
@@k.r.9606 im not sure. I dont have either species but I have heard of big snails accidentally crushing small snails. I do plan of keeping them but I personally will have all of my snails separated on size 💕
Do you have recommendations on a breeder you get snails? I been looking online but not sure yet which breed yet but mostly where to actually get from. I saw wild snails (I’m in Florida) but bf said not to get wild snails bc they will carry meningitis and parasites. I want a bigger breed but Florida has laws on certain breeds being shipped in
Hi! Again hehe, i have a question about the quarentineing part for the snails, as i only have one tank, the main one, is it ok for me to quarentine them in a jar?? Ofcourse have holes for them in the lid, im not sure how ever as i feel that the jars might be to small for such a period of time-
Yeah that should be okay for one or two in quarantine (depending on snail size and jar size ofcourse) you can also get small critter keepers for pretty cheap
Hehe.. Soo i did get three snails, bongo, pringles and steve, i had them for maybe 3 or 4 days but they didnt seem happy, i felt to bad so i let them go! :) i already miss them but thats alright, im sure theyll be happier! I miss them hehe, but hey, maybe a different time xx i also apreciate your help that you gave me last time, so thank u :) x
@@warpedwillow8377 no problem! You can also find breeders in your state! Try on Facebook groups (you cant ask directly since facebook has a no animal sale policy now) and on Instagram. Im sure you'll be able yo find a breeder! That way they arent from outside
@@ExploringExotics haha no its alright! It was a nice expreience, snails i do love, but maybe me keeping little cute creature itsnt for me, but i do love them a lot thats for sure ^^ maybe in the future :)
Hey do you think it's okay to feed snails frozen veg obviously defrosted ( getting a lot of different opinions but I think you know what you're talking about) :D loved the video thank you :)

How long do you quarantine for?
I quarantine my snails for about a month and I feed them some dewormer and/or red bell pepper while they're in quarantine ☺

Frozen should be fine ☺ just make sure that everything in it is something snails can eat and that there are no additives
If they are not cute I do not know what is🐌🐌🐌🐌
