This is a great video man. Great flight. I like your energy! I can relate to the feeling of excitement and then I think I see all of these videos where other pilots are doing these crazy tricks flying in an out of bandos and they're just emotionless, lol. Keep sending, my friend!
I'm way behind you with my Avata. I agree the insurance gives you peace of mind to enjoy flying. I say don't push your self to take risk but just have fun how ever you want. That is an epic Hospital so sad it is empty and not being utilized in some way for good. Cheers
It's not the motors freezing you have to worry about. It's the leading edges of the props. They'll ice up and stop working. If the dew point is below freezing look out.
Really enjoyed this one lol, sick spot. The fpv2 controller can be used with anything with the 03 air unit in it as well as caddx vista/runcam link/OG air unit. You would have to make sure you pick DJI bnf or DJI pnp when ordering a prebuilt for it to work with the fpv2 out of the box. If you were to choose ELRS for example, Usually there is some soldering involved to get the fpv2 controller to work, or sometimes u can just switch the SBUS tab in beta flight. I use it for the babyhawk 03 and have no problems. Some people don’t like it because they want their video and reciever separate from each other, so if video goes they still have control and can punch up to try to regain signal. I personally plan on going to ELRS in the future. Hope this helps.
@@BobsWorld_375 for the boxer? Yea I would get the ELRS one as well. I mean on the babyhawk. I just got the flylens 85 delivered as well. Have tried it only a bit. Did a bit of acro mode inside and was shaking like a leaf lol. It’s super scary with the naked 03
@@mwhizzler476 hell yeah your on a roll! If I get the babyhawk 2 I thought I could get it with elrs already onboard…is that not an option? I want to avoid soldering lol
Thanks! You can only use head tracking with the motion controller. I have flown with head tracking it works great. This flight was in acro mode with the controller 2.
I flew an air Mavic 2. It definitely was a slow transition that took me quite a bit of practice in the sims and open fields. But I really enjoy it and once you “get” manual mode there is nothing better.
@@BobsWorld_375 I think I'll order the remote and practice a lot. Motion controller does everything I need. I'm just looking for a little more challenge.
@@BobsWorld_375 no, don't suppose so LOL I guess preference?? I launch right into manual mode, just have to make sure you have enough sats before doing so in case you need to use emergency safe guards.
Great video as always! As a couple mentioned below, great energy throughout this! I was tilting in my chair along with ya!
Thanks man! 👍🙏
I enjoyed a lot while watching you enjoying flying ❤ makes me bring my avata into wild ❤ thanks for this man
Thank you 🙏
I really liked and enjoyed your video! Great place great flying , but technically you never dove the building. Keep it up Blue Skies...
Thanks! Your right it was a "limp" attempt lol!

Great advice! Yeah it was in service for many years but like most states a lot of the large mental health hospitals closed down.
U hit those gaps beautifully brother
Thanks man!
Looks like a lot of fun!
I need to add an Avata to my fleet of drones?😊
I've added your channel, hopefully you'll connect with another drone pilot?
Thank you…of course! 👍
awesome stuff 👍 I got an Avata, but just using in Sports mode, I am practicing Acro mode in the simulator, just working on my rates.
Awesome! Just keep practicing in the sims they really help. Happy flying!
Good stuff brother
Thanks man!
Amazing video, Bob! I’m glad I turned on notifications and I’m glad the weather worked out for you.
Thank you I need to go try it again…I need a better run 😅

Nice flight my man. Nice control tool What are the rates that you are using? Video made me jump back on the simulator.
Thanks!! My current rates are 150.150.110. 550.550.410 and .40 on expo. Cheers!

Thanks super helpful! I have the boxer max elrs controller now I just need the babyhawk lol
@@BobsWorld_375 nice boxer max is what I want to get. Been learning how to solder so when the time comes I can solder on an ELRS reciever.
@@mwhizzler476 I ordered mine with elrs already onboard

Good job! Have you used head tracking with motion controller or remote controller? Thank you

Great video did you shoot that with original avata?
Thanks! Yes that is off the 03 camera system
That was excellent!! It’s making me want that controller dang it…
Where was that location?
It’s an old vacant state mental health hospital ….thanks man!!
Did you ever fly a drone before the avata? If not, was it hard to learn manual after the motion controller?

@@TheInvisibleRedneck yeah that is what motivated me. I first thought it was a way to help pass time during the winter and then I got hooked. Lol
Do you always launch first then manual mode? why not just launch right in manual?
I do...lol to be honest not sure? Is there a drawback to launching first then going into manual mode? Cheers!
