I’ve been using the Guerlain foundation for a few weeks now and I’ve been obsessed! Especially set with the givenchy powder for my combo skin…flawless girls! We like similar foundations too Mallory even though we have different skin! New everyday even though it’s $62😅 I agree that it makes the skin look beautiful. You look amazing ❤ xo

I have this Foundation in shade 0N, not yellow but neutral undertone. It is so beautiful. Looks like skin. No make up look. Love it!

I have to say I have watched a lot of your foundation reviews and none have impressed has this one has, I am totally going to buy this thank you for the review, I too have a lot of dry patches my problem areas are around my nose, chin and forehead. I am sold on this foundation it is pricey but I think its worth the price can't wait to buy it.

no... id say they are both great for mature skin, the Guerlain is just a little more matte and a little more coverage than Luminous Silk

Luminous matte is it! The only type for me! The guerlain i can’t wear for days in a row with the alcohol. This is one of the only foundations I’ve noticed having a problem with the alcohol. Can be worn with far lighter coverage too!

I've worn it twice since I got it. I feel like it has really good coverage and feels like nothing on the skin. Only complaint I have is it looks kind of too matte upon initial application (I'm 45 with normal/dry skin) as the foundation wears through the day it looks really beautiful! Maybe I should try a primer 🫣

Looked even better in natural light to be honest.
My problem is people are saying that even the cool toned shades are very peachy and the colors run very dark and it oxidizes quite a bit?? So on my cool pale skin probably not so good 😢

I ordered this despite a few bad reviews, a little nervous as it matched me to a neutral undertone when I usually run cool hmm… with a few foundations having me in a warm undertone I went with the neutral and fingers crossed the shade works….. I guess it has something in it that color codes with one’s skin tone which is craziness but I will take it ,) Can’t wait to try this one

I’ve picked 3W it’s crazy bright orange 🍊 I love foundation but the shade is horrible 😢 might pick 2W or 3N on sale because it’s beautiful foundation
BTW I mostly splurge in complexion products, the rest can be more or less affordable but foundation, blush , bronzer and lipstick (because I love it) must be amazing!

Hey Mal! I have a question for you, and I can never get a straight answer at Sephora/Ulta. I’m fair/light with cool pink undertones. Should I be buying foundations that indicate that they are warm to tone down my coolness or cool/pink? This gives me a ton of trouble when ordering online. I’m basically albino, so I need to have a very precise match. Love everything you do!! Thanks!! ❤
Just curious, I thought that application with a sponge because it's wet, dilutes foundation. Is that not the case?
That does seem logical, but no, that shouldn’t be the case. The sponge should only be damp enough to prevent the sponge from over absorbing the product itself. If that makes sense.

I still love it! I've just been using/trying other stuff lately. Luminous Silk, and All Hours are probably my top two favorite foundations for dry skin, but Koh Gen Doh is def still one of the best natural finish foundations for dry skin! how are you liking it so far??
@Mallory Brooke Oh I love it! I was one of the ones saying you should try it. 😂 I bought the moisturizing one in the red squeeze tube. It's great too but I lime the original the best. ❤️ I don't powder a ton but I think you'd really like the Jouer powders!
You look gorgeous in this foundation, Mallory! I would run out and get it but it has fragrance so it’s a no for now.
Unfortunately it does🥹 But it’s very light, and does dissipate. I wish brands would stop doing this because so many people are sensitive to fragrances.

@@ImMalloryBrooke which do you like better? For older skin with some lines and sometimes dehydrated, but still oily… the one in the circle bottle is discontinued but you can find it on Poshmark. I ordered the new one but am worried it’s going to be drying on me. It looked gorgeous on you!!!

Luminous silk is PERFECTION I recently picked up a tan so can’t shade match myself so have to make the long drive to Sephora to get my shade matched, did purchase the guerlan at a neutral undertone when I have always been cool Rosey but yeah fingers crossed
