How to Torque Bolts in Sequence on your Vintage Honda Motorcycle: • How to Torque Bolts in...
A torque wrench can often be an intimidating tool for people but the truth is if you are wrenching on a vehicle, it is one you need in your toolbox. The often said, "that feels tight enough" is a complete misnomer. Every vehicle on the road has a specific tightness that each important bolt and nut needs to be tightened to. Things like the engine head bolts, steering stem, and axles on a vintage motorcycle are just a few examples of extremely important fasteners on your motorcycle where you just do not want to risk guessing if they are correct.
In the past, tools like a torque wrench were either hard to find or priced out of reach for most. Today, they are affordable and a must if you are spinning wrenches on your own vehicle. This video will demystify the differences between torque wrenches out there and how to use one on your motorcycle regardless of it being a Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Royal Enfield, Ducati, BMW, or Harley Davidson.
