Brilliant, when I saw Paul sing the song on Jools I loved it as I do all the blue Nile songs, but in the movie when it began i burst into tears. Couldn’t believe how perfect it was in the moment.
I bought The Blue Nile "Hats" album back around the time it came out in '89. Over the years I've played that album many, many times, but in particular I single out 3 songs; "Over the hillside", "From a late night train" and "Let's go out tonight". They leave me feeling thoroughly melancholy and hopeless... and I love it! Paul's fragile and honest delivery taps into something deeply sad in me but I'm okay with it. True Art is meant to touch us and his does for me.
I know Im asking randomly but does anybody know of a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost the login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Michael Kyrie i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
My best friend and partner was Paul Buckmaster who did the orchestral arrangement on The Luckiest. It is still hard for me to listen to, but it one of his most beautiful. This movie, and the sound track is perfect. Richard made all the right decisions. Beautiful. Thank you Richard.
One of my favourite songs ever by one of my favourite ever singers. I wrote the below poem for it, and Paul. :) Standing in Mid Air For Paul Buchanan His voice is ice cracking a wind resting a hailstorm ending his voice is porcelain breathing a leaf falling embers fading his voice is the land sighing broken glass crunching a mirror misting his words are everything else
Very good song :) I liked the movie, apart from the fact that the two protagonists have sex on the night they meet - on their first date. Richard, that ISN'T romantic, and it kind of spoiled what was largely an enjoyable movie.
About time is an awesome movie I loved every bit of it❤️

Standing in Mid Air
For Paul Buchanan
His voice is ice
cracking
a wind
resting
a hailstorm
ending
his voice is porcelain
breathing
a leaf
falling
embers
fading
his voice is the land
sighing
broken glass
crunching
a mirror
misting
his words
are everything
else
