Yes and I would add that kids are naturally more colorblind by adults as they were less exposed to racial prejudices or racism as adults. If a child says that they feel more comfortable with a teacher looking like them, that just tells a lot about the way he or she is being raised.

Former black high school teacher. I had to fight my colleagues to create high standards for my students. I had to fight to expose them to EVERYTHING in their world. AP courses, honors courses. Trips to cultural institutions etc.
My colleagues wanted to keep them small, limit them, inflate their grades teach abridged versions of classical texts with no critical analysis, then push them to go to challenging university where a good portion failed. I wasn’t popular amongst my colleagues but the students who came through me were truly excellent and did well.

    • @immortalfrieza
      @immortalfrieza 9 месяцев назад

In that case at least Thomas Sewall was wrong. Racism isn't on life support, it's alive and well and better than ever before. The only thing that has changed is the target. Now it's white people who it is considered "okay" to be racist against, to the point that far too many people don't think it's even possible to be racist against white people when it very much is and it's happening all over the country.
Worse, some people think that white people deserve it for racism in the past, which is only missing the point of the fight for equality.

    • @MichaelBonhomme-dm9xh
      @MichaelBonhomme-dm9xh 9 месяцев назад

Yes and No. Racism starts as early as Daycare and TV/Film. This is something that someone in the Phenotype Majority ALMOST NEVER ADMITS/UNDERSTANDS.
      Several Scenarios:
      1. Adulthood: Hiring Process…
1 Resume says James Thompson, another says James Braddock, and another says Jameson Jenkins, and another says Jamies Winston. (In your mind, you associated ethnic backgrounds to each name…)
      2. A Predominantly-Anything Company will force a Minority Applicant to go along to get along
      3. He could filters entrances controls access, and if they can corrupt infants, fuel hate in adolescents, and filter out who gets hired… than the game is controlled by schemes
And if the Minorities just separate and so their own thing, the Majority ALWAYS TRIES TO FORCE THEIR WAY IN, DISRUPT PROGRESS, OR KILL LEADERS… On a Family, Neighborhood, School, Company, Micro and Macro Socioeconomic Level.
The ability to beat these obstacles doesn’t mean the obstacles aren’t successful in catching victims at a ratio or 15 kills- to -One Survivor

First, I'm Asian and I would NEVER send my child to a school where the teachers are predominantly black.
Why? Because of my OWN personal experience.
In ranking, whites were my BEST teachers, followed by Chinese/Asian, Latino next and black teachers the last.
White and European teachers were the most rigorous, high command of the English language and knowledgeable especially in the hard sciences, math and science, white men in particular. White women excelled in English GRAMMAR, not literature. There's a difference.

Being born, and raised, in the UK it really just grate on me (as I am mixed race) that people call me Black in the USA. I lived in the US for a spell. Attended Notre Dame University. Really was a clash of cultures for me as many students, and professors, regarded me as a Black person. Had to constantly say "I am not Black, I am mixed" to which they say "Well, you are Black then." No, only half of me is. Saying I am black is denying half of my entire family and racial background. So when they pushed the matter on "What are you then?" I would simply respond "I am English.".
Really is a different world over there. Ever thankful for my time spent at the University. But ever so pleased I don't have to live there. They are far too fixated on race.

I have wondered about that for years. Why is Barack Obama considered a black president when his mother was white.
I guess if you have kinky dark hair and a lot of melanin in your skin you’re black, but as you probably know back in the day if the Southern US authorities could prove you had 1% African blood you were still considered black. I mean how ridiculous! Especially considering the racism or prejudice towards blacks from the dominant white society in the US. Either that or it’s patronizing and guilt ridden focused the bigotry of low expectations.
I’ve been troubled by racism and focusing on ideas surrounding race and skin color
since I was a teenager and I’ve tried to engage in conversations with people about issues surrounding race, sexism, abortion and many other topics that I would like to get a better understanding of from other peoples positions but sadly most people don’t want to talk about it or are avidly dogmatic one way or the other which I don’t find helpful.
Good for you for at least trying to point out that you are a person and not a race. Hopefully, at some point in the future, we will start addressing and treating people as who they are and not by toxically applied prejudices.
So sorry to hear about your experience at Notre Dame. Sadly, I think things have actually gotten worse instead of better as there now seems to be so much focus on race and it is still baffling to me that someone who is born of one white parent and one black parent would automatically be described as black. Why would they not be instinctively or reflexively be described as white? it just seems like there’s some sort of human predisposition to limit their identification of people and like I said in the beginning this is something that has baffled me and frustrated me for my entire life. I am Lilly white, born of a Welsh father and an English, Scottish and French mother. Still I’ve never really understood the focus on race but also frustrated that we can’t have in depth and intelligent conversations surrounding apparently difficult issues like race. I mean it’s really obvious when someone looks different than you or speaks a different language than you are has a completely different style of dress than what you’re familiar with or other factors that clearly denote difference but why should that be automatically construed as negative or scary? It’s like when You meet a strange dog. If you are open and welcoming, 90+ percent of the time the dog will be thrilled to have you talk with them and pat their head and play with them but if you instinctively pull away it doesn’t go as well. I don’t know if that’s even a legitimate or reasonable analogy, But I thought I’d throw it in.

Exactly. You only have to watch their films and television. Almost every time a non-white character appears they either have to mention their race, or the other persons. Just stop focusing on race so much and maybe we can all start to get along a bit better 😅

He was successful not because anybody recompensed or mollycoddled him. He faced horrible misfortune and used it as a springboard rather than a pity party tagline. It was his awesome parents (as in plural) that gave him such an edge. We all loved his parents and all secretly wished we could be adopted.😅

@@BRONX2176how do you know blacks dont get an opportunity to fill out the application? I could counter that and say the same about whites as in a recent study 1/6 hiring managers said they have been told to stop hiring white people and 14% have said to stop hiring white women. There was the comedian who was on Dr Phil either this episode or the other one Amala was on and he was refused several jobs and was direcrly told "sorry we're not hiring white guys atm". On top of that there is a policy in place in certain academic institutions where white professors have to be fired first in a diversity drive. In UK during covid 14 whitw musicians were fired to meet a diversity quota. Some of those musicians had been with the company 20 years. Then you have uni admissions where whites and asians have to score much hire than black students to hain access. Its patronising to black students and as Candace said they arent qualified to be in that course theyre put on and struggle and many drop out being left in debt because the system whilst trying to help but actually damaged them.

The debate with Roland Martin, a race hustler himself, would be interesting. Owens won $37,500 with the help of the NAACP. It was in high school, not against her college. Martin is on the record and has proven his ability in ad hominem attacks on Owens but nothing of substance.

Candace is so awesome! Very good point she made about highly educated people being unable to see the truth of the argument! Very educated people are quite positive about adopting a totalitarian mindset. How has that worked for the communist countries? Quite well for China, and we are on our way, in their footsteps. Thank God for women like Candace Owens and Amala! They are truly the voice and face of our positive timeline where all people have a voice.

When you set the bar lower, people don't have to work as hard to go over it. It's that simple. When you're told you're not able to do something or you're dumb, you'll believe it. That simple too.
Candice is spot on. Don't pander, set clear expectations, enable people, then it's up to them whether they're willing to put in the work or not. Your IQ and potential is not controlled by your melanin levels.

Not really, you could just do your own research. Everything she says is common knowledge if you just looked into it. It’s all very basic, arguments I’ve made since I was in my early 20s. The white base of the Conservative Party really overrates her. She’s okay but Larry Elder and Mark Levin are way better at actually educating people.

I am hispanic and my most influential teachers were white. But not once did I ever look at their race or claim I'm not comfortable with a white person teaching me. They were just phenomenal teachers, with 25+ years of experience, and some with PhDs teaching high school math and science. FYI, I graduated from a top three national engineering school in the late 90s and am thankful to have learned under their guidance.

Thomas Sowell is an American treasure and Candace Owens is awesome for us to have because she’s putting Thomas Sowells work out there in a way he never could because the left got to where they wouldn’t even let him on television. When he says something the left refused to admit that he exists. But with the internet people no longer can shutdown this truth.

    • @KS-bo7rm

    • @cobblerama

Unfortunately even with the Internet, the left attempts to cancel anyone that questions or refutes their agendas. Yes some can be heard but then the left still does everything to vilify and silence not only them but the platform they're using. It took a based billionaire to try and fix Twitter, now he's called a right wing nut as is everyone at the Daily Wire. RUclips strikes or de-monetizes content they don't like. Google blocks a lot of search results for things they don't approve of and even governments get involved if the person gets too popular, i.e. Jordan Peterson and Russell Brand among others.
