    Freaking awesome! Cool to see someone use the factory bumper fab it up and not just buy one on the internet that doesn't fit

      Logan West it’s not a factory bumper but it is cool!

      it is not factory bumper. it was a cheap internet bumper that was used and completely rusted up and someone else sold on craigslist. then this guy gave it new life, redesigned it, refurbished it and totally improved it...

    What's going to be the axle beef up? I have a bunch of extra axle parts, lunchbox front and rear as well as 1541h D35 shafts.

      I'll be running the lp30 with an Aussie and open d35 through the summer but plan on swapping in a hp30 and d44 with selectable lockers next winter.

    How does that pin exactly work is it pushed up with pressure until it falls into one of the holes on the plate you drilled out ? My pit peeve with my tire carrier is this problem that it swings back shut when I open it and need a way to hold it open like you had. Can you please explain that pin idea a bit more?

    • @dironaa
      @dironaa  5 лет назад +1

      The tire carrier already had a sleeve installed for the pin to slide into when I bought it. The sleeve has a small groove inside it that a spring-loaded ball on the pin catches on to hold it in place. When the tire carrier is swung out, you push on the pin and it will slide past the groove in the sleeve and into the plate on the lower part of the bumper, then pull up on the pin when its time to close the carrier. Its essentially a friction fit. Unfortunately the original pin was a little higher quality that the one I replaced it with but was rusted in place and had to be drilled out.
