strict press is something you have helped me greatly with, thanks to all your content. concentrating on bodybuilding has meant in the past I have been someone who dumbbell presses or seated press and I have neglected any standing shoulder exercises or strength exercises for shoulders. The strict press is a very humbling exercise as well when it comes to weight you can lift but also has increased my strength greatly. Thanks for all the great content and keep it up.
Being proficient (or at least familiar) at each of these is HUGE. At one of my recent comps I couldn't push press the circus dumbbell. Almost zeroed the event, but then I split jerked it and got one rep. Also, I'm horrible at jerking logs but decent at push pressing them so that's my go-to method for log, whereas I split jerk my axle
When strict pressing for hypertrophy would you recommend touching the barbell to your chest (if you have the mobility) to increase the rom, even if you have to use slightly less weight than stopping at your clavicles or chin?
I have never done the other variations. Started overhead a year ago. If I start to work on these other various lifts how much weight should I start with? Do I go all the way back to just a bar? Or can I use weight? Second question do the other variations aggravate low back pain? I have a show in October and I’m sure there will be overhead something. My log is currently 260 one rep and with a bar not sure 🤔
What's your take on things like the "javelin" press? I've been dabbling because I don't have a circus dumbbell at my homegym. But I'd love for a more advanced athlete's take on it.
I normally make heavy lifts (less reps) once a week on strict Press. Then, depending on the week, 1-2 Days of other variations doing more reps. That should work to grow my strict press right?

FINALY. i am so tired of this flaf and pump bool shit. i do only bench pres, bar, back tuching. i do this owerhad press, i do one wariation of squod, deth lift, and two exerices for back. one is rowing on maschine and with bar. i do something for forarms cos i like it for armwrestling. and abs. 3x a week. hawey workut. and i am ready. i am strong. i do not do biceps, tricepc, traps sholders. i only do owerhad press and boxing for shoulders. mybe jumping rope. and i am ok. i am 43 years old. i eat normal. i can do 30 pull ups easy. 180cm. 85 kg. i think i am ok. my wife is 163 53 kg she do 10 t o15 corect pull ups. and she train a lot less than me. we eat what we do for familiy. we go for fast walk to, me with 25kg back pack for 15 to 20 km. when i hawe time. i am so glad that someone saj truth. owerhad press is for me ,best exercise. in my citiy in my little countra we do nto hawe this olympic style, we do hawe some gyms in other city. not mine. i am so gled somone say truth. god bless u man.

make sure you have volume in there... volume = gains

If you have problems with the double dip just ask thor about it. I hear he's a big double dipper ;)
Push jerking my axle presses. Dislike doing that for Log though. Might be a question of balance though.
