To br connected to the vine is to be obedient.Isaih 58.13+14 if thou away thy foot from the Sabbath,from doing tjy pleasure on my holy day; abd call the Sabbath a delight,the holy of the Lord,honourable,,and shall nonour him,not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nkr speaking thine own words.Then shall thou delight thyself in the LORD: and I will cause thee to ride upon the high places of the earth,and feedt thee with heritage of Jacob the Father.For the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it

Our heavenly Father is willing to give us his holy spirit, if we keep his commandments,but if we reject God law we are like a dry branch.
There are idols in our life we need to destroy and allow new roots to spring up.
