It uses the regular domestic sewing machine needles. The flat side of the needle should face the back, if that's not the problem, then check if the machine is off the timing.

Yes, I do. I prefer use these kind of machine than those modern ones at the same price range. It is easy to use heavy duty mechanical machine.
I just bought one it was sewing good but now she's making it so tight I don't know what's the problem?
