How to generate an APK using React Native with Expo( VsCode)

I have a similar problem, in the expo simulator everything works fine, but when I generate the apk, it stays on the splash screen :(.

It takes a while saying "build in progress" but then says " Android build failed:
Gradle build failed with unknown error." :(
