THey probably are playing to the playback. THis sounds exactly like the CD. THe electric violins that they are playing are also called "silent" violins. THey are playing the songs on their instruments but the sound is probably off. SO they are going thru all the motions and notes without worrying about sound & mistakes. I listen to this quartet all the time and I have an experienced violinist in the fam. But this is my opinion.
They're known for their Metal/Classical cross because they perform metal using Cellos. All four of them are cello playing metalheads. They're just as amazing live as Bond is, I have to say.
These women have phenomenal talent and much better to watch than men in my esteem, because they exude feminity and strength. I love it. Good for them. And hope young women the world over get inspiration.

De ninguna forma critico la forma de interpretacion, al contrario me parece exceñente, critico las formas armonicas, ritmicas. Los antiguos nos dejaron una serie de herramientas tan fabulosas que por lo mismo complejas casi nadie se atrevea a usar...
Correction, they are not doing wahtever it takes to make them stand out from the crowd. Think about that for a second. And their "art" is butchered poetry. Which is still poetry. Therefore it is an art. Does that make them good? No. Think of it this way. Painting is an art. And if we were to crossover- then all those rappers you mentioned are just shitty painters. One can paint the mona lisa, the other draws stick figures. Both are still art. One just sucks.

Y si estubiesen en vivo, los "estacattos" de Haily serían demaciado estridentes por la potencia y exageración de sus movimientos. Ella sóla delata al cuarteto con sus movimientos bruscos... ni el violinista más perfecto en el mundo podría tocar de esa forma y que se escuchara así de perfecto... definitivamente es Playback

ART (and not only pertaining to music alone) comes in many forms and elements. What BOND created is a musical crossover. Reading a little into their biography comes in handy when you need to constructively critique the work of a true artist. The arrangements in the elements and style of their music are actually quite advanced and difficult to play if I must say.
I wouldn't call Apocalyptica angsty. That's a horrible generalization of metal music. bond have performed a few sad sounding tracks (Big Love Adagio being one of them). While I love both bond and Apocalyptica, I must say it was a rather bad generalization you made.
mmm..yes i love them 2 but "all those idiots" you mentioned are just exponents of their own art form ,they try to make the best with what they can do,im a musician and ive learned to appreciate what everyone puts forth and the effort they put doing so...
You know, my sister compared this band to Apocalypitca once. Gotta say, both bands are completely awesome, but entirely different. This band is a lot lighter. Apocalyptica's more for the heavy, angsty stuff. I find this band phenomenal, though.
