    Open Heimer mentioned about Bhagavat gita. The battle field shown in Kalki is the place where Bhagavat gita lines were told.

      That’s the only holy book Open Heimer can identify with him and find some moral support for making nuclear bomb that would kill millions of humans. I am not sure it is a positive advertisement for BG. I don’t know why the Hindus are very proud that Oppen Heimer had quoted some verses from BG. What virtue it brought to humanity.

      @@asingha94 I didn’t say BG influenced Open Heimer to make nuclear bomb. He had his own motives and political pressures . But he had this dilemma that he will be the cause of death of millions of people and possibly the end of humanity and only in BG he could find some message that justifies his actions under the name once dharma. Everyone pursue their duties regardless of its end outcome, be it good or bad. He find peace from this advice. That helped him to calm the dilemma from his conscience or guilt .

      @@Seekingtruth239 The act that he did is not supported. None of the hindus had taken that example to do something like that.. The quotes written in it are taken by each individual according to their perspective. A soul can’t die, do your duty and don’t think about the result. No one had told anyone to damange anything in that quote. OH took it in his own perspective. We hear good and bad in social media on each day. It depends upon our nature to pick good or bad even though we tell that someone influenced us. When it is our religion the influence is more on us conpared to the other one. Do your duty sincerely without expecting the outcome is a good example for a student who is going for a test to reduce his pressure. Apart from OH none of the hindus has taken that example for negative acts.

      @@S3-News-Room agree with you and I’m not questioning the righteousness of Gita. When it is taken in the positive way it is a wonderful message for humanity. My only thing was people are proud and boasting about Open Heimer quoting BG prior to first nuclear bomb test. I don’t see a positive link to BG with this particular incident. I’m not here to judge anyone and their circumstances. But I think if taken out of context all this Holy books Gita, Quran, Bible can be problematic.

      Every time I review an Indian film, I'm called a dumb American (someone already did on this video) who doesn't understand the culture/film/etc. If he is just generally telling people to learn about Indian history, than I do genuinely apologize. That has not been the case in the past so I might have been too on the defense. My bad. That said, I don't think a good movie requires the viewer to do homework ahead of time and I also didn't think this particular film did. I understood everything going on and the characters were presented very well.

    • @cockybhai3638
      @cockybhai3638 Месяц назад +27

      @@AdamDoesMoviesI understand your response. I think the Indian audience just wants you to connect to the movie like they do. There are a lot of hidden symbolisms and Easter eggs, only if you are well versed with the Hindu mythology and scriptures. The guy's just suggesting to maybe glance over the Mahabharata, so you can make sense of the importance and impact of certain characters.
      I definitely agree that a good movie shouldn't need you to do your homework. But for someone who's maybe new to the culture, like how a western audience can pick up star wars references or parallels between for example the Bible in "The book of Eli". If you don't want to spend time on it, it's ok.

    This movie looked like remake of starwars which we used to watch in the 1990's. 1st half was boring and confusing, 2nd half was good. AB was as usual excellent, shaswat chatterjee was superb, Prabhas was redoing his bahubali role and did not impress much with his acting, DP was also good. Rest all was okay. But the film despite of being an inspiration has wrongly depicted lot of hindu mythological facts. The most important being that as per our puran end of kalyug would bring mankind down to from where it started and there shall be no hifi technology to use for wars as has been shown in the film. Women torturing is correctly shown and that is what even puran says that women will be treated very badly. Only one thing was explained properly and that was arriving of kalki in white horse where in one scene the scene it is explained that white horse actually means a star shining bright in sky. That is the only true fact depicted, rest all was all falsified facts as already pointed out by Mukesh Khanna. This is not a movie to be seen twice.

    I bet you don't even know the real story of the kalki movie😂😂, you just watched it for fun, because it is only made for the Indian audiences, you just watched the CGI part and you are telling its not better than RRR😂, You can only understand the concept of this movie if you know the Mahabharata, not like your star Wars or Lord of rings which was fictional😂😂. You Americans think that this movie is like Star Wars or Lord of rings😂, these movies are nothing compared to Kalki 2898AD, not even RRR.

      Ah, the classic "dumb American" comment. I supported this movie. i talked about it on my channel. I enjoyed it. I even let you act like a total prick in the comments. You watched a less-than 60 second reaction video and decided you know me. I've never told any non-American person they can't watch movies made here because they aren't for you. That's insane, ignorant and flat out foolish. Americans are liking Indian film. You should champion that because it's only helping to grow their appeal/reach/budgets. Now you can piss off.
