Just FYI guys: I believe this was BTS's concept trailer that released before their first ever "comeback" (A comeback in kpop just means the release of a new album or mini album). It was the comeback release of their 2nd album (which was a mini album) "O!RUL8, 2?" (which is short hand or stands for "Oh! Are You Late, Too?") released in September 2013. The "trailers" (which are sometimes actual songs or like this one just a concept for the new album) is to get fans psyched and ready for the album about to be released. Their lead single from this album which also had an MV is "N.O" (which stands for "No Offense"). The concept trailer is very reminiscent of the dance break at the end of N.O MV, it was giving an idea of what was to come with the official song MV release.
He's actually still 15 in the dance practice because they recorded the official trailer on his 16th birthday (where they also did a prank video--pls react to this😁✨)
The concept I got from the MV is BTS was being pursued by authority and shot but one survived. Because BTS are one, he revived the others and they rose up. With the power of 7 as one, BTS mesmerized and recruited them in the Army by the end.
YO OKAY BUT THE SECOND BLAZE MENTIONED STEP UP I IMMEDIATELY GOT WHAT HE WAS SAYING. Like I'm just remembering Step Up 3 and the battle with Red Hook. That same gritty, underground aesthetic with an intense energy.
The song was supposed to be Kanye's Black Nazis, but they had copyright issues and couldn't get it, so RM rewrote/remixed it. The official MV is what got me into BTS. My friend from South Korea sent it to me the day it came out (08-04-2013) because I already was a fan of the club rapper Randa (RM) and so he thought I'd like this. At first I just thought it was a dance troupe...and then I heard HIS voice! I've been with BTS ever since.
