We have lived in Centerville the past 20+ years. The Pros: centrality/access to services, shopping, roads, parks, good schools both public & private, and low crime. The Cons: High taxes, high real estate prices (especially for land), and the most annoying thing we have dealt with in Centerville has been nit picky zoning officials that care more about appearances than helping citizens & small business grow. Overall, living here has been good to us. We desire to have more land and a smaller house. Currently we own a 5 bedroom home on 1/3 acre. We eventually want to downsize our home but get more land. Due to high property costs, we probably will not make that move by staying in Centerville.
You can definitely get more bang for your buck in surrounding areas! My husband and I own land in Franklin Township with the hopes of doing the same some day. When that time comes for you and your hubby give me a call, I would love to help!
@@anonymousagoogleuser5722 well you'll find em everywhere. Go where you can afford and the schools are nice. I live in sugar Creek township. It's great here.
The best Ohio looks is in your rear view mirror. Also, you better get out as soon as you graduate. Ohio is a black hole 🕳 that consumes both your life and soul. It’s usually aging family that sucks you back into the center of the psychological cyclone.
You're right. Centerville is overated. But Ohio isn't all that bad. There are a lot of decent and affordable places to live. It just depends on the choice of the person and how much he/she is willing to spend.

Centerville is a good place but I like Washington township better.
Taxes are way too high. Not worth even looking at houses in Centerville when better cities with cheaper taxes and better schools are near by.
Springoboro has cheaper prop taxes
@@byronbranch4645Springboro is just as snotty and rude as Centerville is.

Philip, please name the places near by that you're referring to. I've lived here all my life and wondering what better cities have lower taxes?

That one house in the thumbnail burned down and they rebuilt it and they're asking 800k for it? ...come on now
Centerville is not a decent place to live. Just like Dayton and Montgomery County. All three are overated and should be avoided.b
Centerville is a great place to live. Thanks for highlighting Centerville.
You are quite welcome!!
Not my first choice
Bring a fat checkbook for your property taxes!
Centerville is over rated. Don’t move here. Stay away. In fact stay out of Ohio.
