- Not sure what all the settings on your Black and Decker drill mean? Then this short video is the one for you.
In it, I go through all of the different settings on a Black and Decker drill and explain what they mean. I explain things such as the torque settings, hammer mode, brick settings and more!
Thank you so much for this video.
I don't have a father around anymore (DV),..he was the only one that knew about D.I.Y,...I did try to pick up as much as I could before I left home & I'm glad I did as my husband isn't great with D.I.Y (never had anyone around yo teach him) so it's always left for me to sort out. I've always been scared of drilling into walls in case I mess something up, but he really wanted shelving putting up in his gaming room. I purchased this drill last week so on my day off I could surprise him (while he was in work)....but I had no idea about the settings. I knew there was different bits for different materials but that was it haha.
So thank you for teaching this 30 something year old woman how to use this drill
so true, im using my dads black and decker drill but its not like hes gonna teach me (hes mentally ill)
i'M 71, AND MY DAD TOO WAS GREAT AT DIY , AND HE TAUGHT ME LOADS OF STUFF, ABOUT CAR'S TOO. SADLY HE DIED 15 YEARS AGO , AND I HAVE ALL HIS TOOLS, BUT IT'S NOT THE SAME AS HAVING HIM HERE TO GUIDE ME THROUGH JOBS I HAVE NEVER DONE BEFORE. i ONLY THE OTHER DAY WONDERED WHAT THE HELL ALL THOSE SETTINGS MEANT , THIS HAS MADE SO MUCH SENSE TO ME AND WILL HELP NO END, ALSO I CAN PASS THIS INFO ONTO MY TWO GRANDSONS, IN THEIR TEENS, AS THEY HAVE NO DAD AROUND , AND MY DAD WAS THEIR DAD FOR A LONG TIME. THANKS FOR THIS INFO , FROM A GIRL THAT LOVES A BIT OF DIY !
Your husband should learn these things too. It's never too late.
Brilliant. Simple and to the point
I used this drill for mounting a bracket but had no idea what any of the settings were for until now. I probably used it on the wrong settings though it still did the job.
That's all that counts! :)
Thank you. Your video is very helpful.
Thanks so much! This was so helpful! ❤
Thank you I'm a beginner
You’re welcome 😊
If you are using the hammer drill setting I take it that speed 1 would be best for that extra torque while drilling into masonry? Thanks for the video by the way, just bought one of these for general household DIY, you explained the settings great.
Concise and informative video. Good job.
Thank you mate, very helpful.
Thanks, great help.
Thanks from Spain!🇪🇸👏
You're welcome!
Brilliant, thanks for the upload. Reading instructions really isn’t for me. Really appreciated this.
Very nice . Black and dekker should hire you
Thanks :D
Which drill bit to use for drilling in the wall for furniture?as we need to make sure furniture doesn't tip over.
If you set in drill mode for all the power of the torque drill, then the numbers are just basically for wood only?
They are for screwing really, they can stop you stripping the heads on screws and also can be used as a depth stop when screwing into soft materials like wood
@@TheBlokeCave so the higher the number the more power it gives in drilling harder materials? And the less numbers are for not going all the way in?
Does it have a led light? Says it in the description but cant seem to see it
So useful!
Great video
Thanks!
Since the gear also influences the amount of torque, the torque number setting will behave differently for different gears right?
You are amazing, thank you!!!
Thanks. I have one now 👍
No problem 👍
