Nobody knows, my grandfather lived 'til he was 96, he smoked since he was 12 years old. He didn't die of lung cancer. One of my friends daughters died at 16 of lung cancer, never smoked and neither did her parents.

The fact that this vile person had an audience is a sad statement on America. That fact that our equally vile potus gave him the Medal of Freedom, cheapens that honor.
It's an indictment of the media landscape. Most of the MSM is left wing, atleast socially/culturally. People wouldn't flock to loudmouths like Rush if they had better mainstream conservative media sources. MSM must make a conscious effort to bring political diversity to newsrooms and opinion shows.
The fact that Rush had an audience is a positive statement of the USA. It means that the freedom of speech was observed, recognized, and protected. Never forget that the freedom of speech is designed to protect speech that offends you. Everyone has an opinion and not everyone is going to agree with you. The fact that you believe that some opinions are vile will never matter to anyone other than you. The fact that you believe that President Trump is vile will always remain completely and utterly irrelevant. Rush earned the Medal of Freedom based on the requirements to earn it. How you feel about that will also remain completely and utterly irrelevant.
So in the end we have learned that the facts do not care about your feelings. :).

Rush was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his decades of dedication to the USA and his charitable work in raising funds to help the poor, the needy, the disabled, and military vets. He used his celebrity status to help others. While you may not agree with what he said, you cannot deny what he accomplished when helping others. So yes, he did a great deal to earn the medal. I strongly suggest that you take the time to do the research so that you will know what he did for others.

I won’t lie, i am trying hard to feel some sort of loss. I don’t remember nice things about him from what i know, but i wish him all the best in his journey in the afterlife. Insulting him would be going against my morals and my upbringing(and my parents), and would be an insult to his family, and they are not him. It’s quite unfortunate he acted the way he did towards/about others.
