I’m watching every episode back to back for the first time. I’ve caught bits and pieces back when it was on but watching them all is just amazing. But it just breaks my heart to see how even 15 years ago the world was still normal. You could make jokes. Now it’s done. There is no coming back from this mess the youth have created. Great interview! You could almost compare Kenny Hotz (and Spenny) and their international appeal to the rise of Jordan Peterson internationally. Stay with me Granted Peterson is more political, but both figures may be some of our most well known and beloved exports internationally. Despite this international notoriety the byzantine Canadian establishment (or Laurentian elite or whatever you want to call it) acts like they don't exist because they don't fit neatly into their poltiics or meta-narrative of who and what this Country is or what they think it ought to be I think Kenny vs Spenny may be the best comedy show of all time - the fact we are still talking about it 20 years later is a testament to its enduring success. The fact that it's also filmed in Toronto and in Canada is just a bonus.

I met Kenny couple days before my birthday one year in October in Ottawa. he was walking in the Market shook hands with him and talked for moment and went on our separate ways. but a very cool and nice fellow. when I went home the hand I shook hands with Kenny I raised up and told my friends "..I'm never gonna wash this hand again.." confused friends wonder why and I told them what happened and they agreed. lol. I remember rum balls use to get them at a shop in Toronto that use to sell them.

Damn crazy how good this interview is and how natural yoy seem at all this. I think if you were to kinda banter back with Kenny it would add to the environment more and brings out Kenny’s good nature more. Makes him seem less like a bully if he’s pushed back on if that makes sense. Oliver you need to run ads breh. Get you some targeted group ads on FB, RUclips, Insta.. etc.. It's actually not that expensive. Someone like Kenny has a built-in audience. It should be well worth it in terms of growing your channel.

12:16 tbh Kenny is better with Spenny. He can be good alone, but the truly classic and great works are with Spenny. A live show is no exception to this. Idk if Kenny would or could admit that though, he doesn’t in this interview.

Ha the Rumballs company sounds kinda like in a way what happened here in Finland with laughing gas because the machine to use the little metal.. viles (let's call them that) and the viles containing the gas is used in baking so this company was put up under being baking company but they went with a truck to certain places at certain times like say when summer vacation starts for people in "college" (we have a bit differend system but anyways) so they would drive where all these people would gather to drink to sell laughing gas out of the truck. It went on for couple years I think and then in my city and I think in capital they were putting up stores. They were up for a very short while until goverment stepped in and made spesific laws to ensure they cannot do what they do since it was literally all they sold in the store 😅 It's kinda like putting up a flowerstore and only selling poppys, there is stores which are very openly selling poppys knowing fullwell why most people buy it but they are also a legit flowerstore so goverment cannot really do anything about it. Cops might harrash them tho.

While I appreciate your initial kind words, I enjoy my podcast studio decor (even if you don't find it appealing). It's a culmination of fandoms that have interested and influenced me throughout my life. I also found a lot of solace in comic book stores in my youth, and ultimately the studio vibe makes me feel very comfortable. I would implore you not to blow your brains out and instead consider that this esthetic wasn't crafted with you specifically in mind...🙄

I’m watching every episode back to back for the first time. I’ve caught bits and pieces back when it was on but watching them all is just amazing. But it just breaks my heart to see how even 15 years ago the world was still normal. You could make jokes. Now it’s done. There is no coming back from this mess the youth have created. I just live for the day they all cry and whine when they wanna change it back and can’t.

Granted Peterson is more political, but both figures may be some of our most well known and beloved exports internationally. Despite this international notoriety the byzantine Canadian establishment (or Laurentian elite or whatever you want to call it) acts like they don't exist because they don't fit neatly into their poltiics or meta-narrative of who and what this Country is or what they think it ought to be
I think Kenny vs Spenny may be the best comedy show of all time - the fact we are still talking about it 20 years later is a testament to its enduring success. The fact that it's also filmed in Toronto and in Canada is just a bonus.

I met Kenny couple days before my birthday one year in October in Ottawa. he was walking in the Market shook hands with him and talked for moment and went on our separate ways. but a very cool and nice fellow. when I went home the hand I shook hands with Kenny I raised up and told my friends "..I'm never gonna wash this hand again.." confused friends wonder why and I told them what happened and they agreed. lol. I remember rum balls use to get them at a shop in Toronto that use to sell them.

I think if you were to kinda banter back with Kenny it would add to the environment more and brings out Kenny’s good nature more. Makes him seem less like a bully if he’s pushed back on if that makes sense. Oliver you need to run ads breh. Get you some targeted group ads on FB, RUclips, Insta.. etc.. It's actually not that expensive. Someone like Kenny has a built-in audience. It should be well worth it in terms of growing your channel.

Ha the Rumballs company sounds kinda like in a way what happened here in Finland with laughing gas because the machine to use the little metal.. viles (let's call them that) and the viles containing the gas is used in baking so this company was put up under being baking company but they went with a truck to certain places at certain times like say when summer vacation starts for people in "college" (we have a bit differend system but anyways) so they would drive where all these people would gather to drink to sell laughing gas out of the truck. It went on for couple years I think and then in my city and I think in capital they were putting up stores. They were up for a very short while until goverment stepped in and made spesific laws to ensure they cannot do what they do since it was literally all they sold in the store 😅 It's kinda like putting up a flowerstore and only selling poppys, there is stores which are very openly selling poppys knowing fullwell why most people buy it but they are also a legit flowerstore so goverment cannot really do anything about it. Cops might harrash them tho.

While I appreciate your initial kind words, I enjoy my podcast studio decor (even if you don't find it appealing). It's a culmination of fandoms that have interested and influenced me throughout my life. I also found a lot of solace in comic book stores in my youth, and ultimately the studio vibe makes me feel very comfortable. I would implore you not to blow your brains out and instead consider that this esthetic wasn't crafted with you specifically in mind...🙄

Why do you have a Service Ontario shirt?
Well, for starters I live in and produce my show from Ottawa, Ontario. I have lived in Ontario my entire life. More specifically though, that sweatshirt was gifted to me by photographer and artist Peter Andrew Lusztyk when he was my guest on episode #14 of my show (way back in January of 2020).
