Other than screen color it will be almost exactly the same. Ally X is much better in performance and battery life now. And the Ally screen, although not oled, is still a top tier screen with nice colors and VRR and 120hz
ROG Ally is not a PC handheld brcause it couldn't play any PC games. All the games you can play on your Ally are console games ported to PC. If a game doesn't have a controller support(which most PC games are) then it's unplayable due to the limited controller support. Steam deck on the other hand has full steam input API support to cater that.
When restarting my Steam Deck, it always hangs on the logo and takes nearly 2 minutes to get to the main screen. It can't be as fast as the video above. Many times I thought the machine had a problem.
I wish Bugatti would take their top super car and make a go kart version, with performance compromised in every conceivable way. That’s the sort of driving experience that appeals to me.

@@bababasri3 I paid 850 euros for a Steam Deck OLED in my country, price is not an issue for me. The Rog Ally X design is ugly and it runs windows 11 and is nowhere near streamlined to deliver a console like experience. Also, the fact that it doesn't use an OLED screen is a huge downside.
I cant play with no joystick, like ever! unless its a racing game. so for me the touch pads are a must! I use the steam controller for everything else.

La ally x mejora en todo a la regular, se calienta mucho menos que la deck, es más cómoda a la mano, se siente mejor armada… una pantalla muy superior y sobre todo una potencia mucho más a la altura del 2024.

La OLED se mea en la cara de la ROG y ya puede tener todas las settings ultra la ROG que nunca va a tener la calidad del OLED y en batería también, eficiencia y precio.
La OLED tiene exactamente el mismo Hardware que la versión LCD, no hay cambio en el performance, La ROG Ally X es más potente ese es un hecho, y la batería en la Ally X es igual si no incluso mejor que la SD, no puedes tapar el sol con un dedo, lo que hace Steam Deck para mi un producto más balanceado es el precio ya que me parece que el de la ASUS es excesivo.

It runs just fine on Steam Deck. It's only listed as "unplayable" due to the multiplayer being unplayable. The singleplayer works.
Steam Deck running it on lower TDP, showing those games is well optimized on it.

The battery difference between OLED and ally x in triple a games is about 1hr. In indie titles it depends. Like 2hrs or so
