Off camera, Tim was telling us that he did, in fact, drive a couple of shows as a fill-in driver for Feld. He also drove Robomachine for Mitch Tulachka as well.
Bigfoot 10 for at this time being 21 years old handles fantastic especially considering it debuted in 1992 and back then in 2013 it's still hanging in there.
As Rob stated in the interview right after this (16:44), he was fighting a mechanical issue that kept him out of the first round. Scorpion was fighting a slow-reacting rear steering (which was actually a contributing factor to the rollover in freestyle), and once Project X was deemed "good to go", it was decided to have Project X take Scorpion's place.
Colby here...suspensions seats were tried, and simply did not work. The best solution to driver "comfort" was to mount the seat directly to the frame. I am not engineer, but it is my understanding that with it attached to the frame, the forces exerted on the driver are spread throughout the entire chassis. Also, the extra motion that a suspended driver's compartment would create can and did lead to moments of unintended control issues.
Colby here...having been in the driver's meeting for this show, I can tell you that no restrictions were placed on the drivers as to what they could hit for wheelies. Some shows will do so, others will not. This was not one of them.
Maybe this is a dumb suggestion but why dont the drivers/builders make the seat and controls into a "pod" that is on air bags or shocks (top and bottom) within the main frame? Cant wait to see the new wildfire truck, maybe Dennis will have to put some float tires in king sling to give it a run for its money hah ;)
To me, he is the best Bigfoot driver right now. I don't think he will last on Bigfoot team that long because he goes all out there, and Bigfoot seems more like a conservative type of team. Really should be with Monster Jam.
What, so he can go out and trash a truck? It's not about who can tear a truck up. Than again I guess some of the idiots at Monster Jam cause I'm starting to hear from former drivers that they were told not to go out and tear stuff up at show and would be scolded if they did. Which is why I have much respect for Bob Chandler and how he ran his organization.
Great show, loved every minute of it.

What's the horsepower on the Casper truck? I'm a super fan of the old school trucks
Does Casper have air ride suspension?
Also, why does the Ford Scorpion have a Chevrolet logo on the front?!

Can someone please explain to me this racing set up. Third place race? Well why didn't Project X race before that and automatically go into that race?
Colby here...Yes it does. Jeremy actually inflated the airbags right before I got the camera out.
When is the next video going to be up?
First Comment sweet,,, love the new Intro guys awesome job keep up the good work
when is the next video???
Pretty aggressive freestyle for a bigfoot truck
Lol, that would depend entirely on whose driving it. Gotta go out there and drive with your head and not just your right foot.
BOO! How did River Rat not win the 2nd Wheelie competition? Big Foot didn't even use the right ramp of cars to do it!
I was there...

bigfoot rigged it in the wheelies he shouldn't have won
Chevy engine probably.
River Rat is a great driver, but what a dumb name for a Monster Truck. Hey, mommy I want a River Rat monster truck shirt.
