  • The Badger-Two Medicine is an area in today's Northwest Montana. It is highly sacred for the people of the Blackfeet Nation, and they have interacted with and stewarded this land since time immemorial. Hear perspectives from two members of the Blackfeet Nation, Jesse DesRosier and Lauren Monroe, Jr. about the cultural connections to this land, the way in which its jurisdiction was taken, and the call to have management of this land, and protect it from ongoing threats of oil and gas development. May I express the hope that wrong will be righted. It's true that no one can own land, that we are only seeking to be able to be responsible stewards of it. Higher justice will prevail.

Those for whom money is their god will never understand those of us who love the land. It has never given them to right to take.

They made us many promises, more than I can remember, but they never kept but one; they promised to take our land, and they took it. Red Cloud.

Keep it as a National Park, that way all can enjoy it. The nature will be protected. This guy sounds very possessive, which is ironic because he decries "owning land". Very ironic
