Hi Fella. Was given one of these F800 whilst my gsa was being serviced and absolutely loved it and agree with everything you said. Cracking middleweight grossly overlooked by many. See you used Douglas Park for your repairs. Very good dealer and service centre. Best and enjoy your rejuvenated RT. Old 14:25 Bloke.
Love my 17 plate k 1600 b my kids wedding money will go. Down as it gets older . Scott at parks bmw is so helpful but doesn’t take away what they charge . Ride safe
@ absolutely mate. I do a lot of my own maintenance but on occasion I will get a garage/ dealer to do the work, usually when it’s something I’m not confident with or don’t have the tools
Good vid Craig - I’ve got the same RT1250 - curious what mileage you’ve done… does it say 31,000? Mines done 21,000 (2019) got me concerned/thinking now…😮
Hi there, yes 31000. Mine lives outside though and is used every day through the winter, so it has a hard life - maybe that’s why. It has otherwise been well looked after with no expense spared, so it is a bit of a bummer 😬
Mines a R1200R , 2016 , at 25k now, so I'll be expecting at big bill in the future 😢 glad yours is sorted , nearly with many more miles ahead 😀 👍 @RidingThroughGrief
And that is why I will NEVER purchase a bike with this ludicrous suspension set up. It makes a bike a complete and utter liability when out of warranty. There are minimal advantages to the system, despite what people who have shelled out for it and defend it will tell you. (I do ride an R1250RT on a weekly basis, but thankfully don,t own it) a rear shock on an older RT is £300 - and fit it yourself for nothing ------- No wonder motorcycling is dying !!! it's becoming uneconomical to repair anything modern and high tech.

I was very impressed with the F800GS, something I’ve wanted to have a go on and loved it :)
Got to love the RT I’m onto my second and still find them awesome 👍
Love the title haha, glad to see you back on your own bike again!
Great wee vid Craig - glad the rt is running sweet - that’s my Wednesday viewing sorted at 8pm 😅

A lot to of money to shell out but now you’ll know that it’s gonna be good for a few years. Great saving on the rear shock!
Yeah, a bit expensive but hopefully will provide a good few years of hassle free riding 🙏

Wow, deep pockets required but glad you got it back. 👍
Hi, wanted to know what was wrong with the wheel, maybe a dented alloy?
Hiya, there’s a dent in the rim that was found when new tyres were fitted. Safe enough to ride for now, but an MOT failure 😞
That’s mental! My bike cost £1800 quid 🤣
Yep, absolutely f***** crazy 🤪

How many miles does your RT have? You have a new feeling motorbike when it's all done 😃
31000, and it feels like new now. The shock will get done while I’m away, and the wheel it getting sent to a specialist. Will see how that goes 🙏
